I wouldn't call it a comeback but a lot of players think I am some ancient relic complaining about changes and other issues that I do not wish to bring up in this thread so to keep it civil I would like to discuss the thing that has impacted my list the most which is the allowance of forge world rules!
A lot of people think that I play Tau because of other threads but that army is probably a year away from hitting the table I just put that much time and energy into theory hammer that it seems like I actually play and have the army! I actually play IG and Marines and as requested by some of my peers I am posting my list that I will start play testing for ITC tournaments. I have some questions as I am not 100% sure on the legality of certain things as battle scribe has become a shadow of itself with all the constant changes going on with 40k.
Imperial Guard (Astra Mili whatever) CAD & Space Marine CAD-1850
Heavy Support
Devastator Squad 2xGrav-Cannon Rhino Dozer Blade
Sicaran Battle Tank
Sicaran Battle Tank
My legality question is do librarians allow you to take multiple Sicarans? I know Chaplains do and my list is legal according to battle scribe but I am not sure.
With me Forge World has so many things to abuse its not even funny for the price of 1 basilisk I can get 2 shots instead! I would like to say more but for fun sake I will not because I want to see how many people understand my simple little list. Do you see how it is geared to fight the current meta! The only true experimental thing in my list is the vulture I am not sure if its worth it I don't like the fact that I have to wait till turn 2 and it might not come in, its much better for this list to have another thing that can contribute to an alpha strike attempt, but against flying monstrous creatures its so good. I hate when I can not use theory hammer to answer these type of questions and I have to work to get data!
Anyway please tell me about cool forge world units that you like and take a crack at explaining how Kenpachi's come back will be made possible with this simple little list or a list similar once theory hammer becomes warhammer.

I love FW especially now that it's much more balanced/fun and fluffy then most of the standard GW codexs out there. Lots of unbelievably cool models with very fluffy rules now for the most part. Generally if I run into those I refused to play against FW types I just don't play them, avoiding closed minded individuals like that to begin with. That being said I AM able to run the Elysian drop troops from there, my favorite regiment and I'm already planning on doing a Death Korps of Krieg list as well.

19th Krieg Siege Army 7500pts.
40k/HH Night Lords 5000pts.
Orks Waaaghmacht Spearhead 2500pts.
Forgeworld gave me a Gargantuan Creature that is actual fun to Play with AND angainst it (Gargantuan Squigoth).
Forgeworld gave me the Big Squigoth. I own 3 of them. This makes Wild Orks pretty cool.
The Mega Dread, the Grottanks and Zarsdrak da Rippa are all cool models and my opponents like them.
FW gave me half a dozend cool campains to recreate, 30k rules that don't suck, Primarchs, great artwork ....
Cool armylistes like D99, Elysians, DKoK, .....
FW makes GW good. It's like an upgrade. You go from cool models and gakky rules to fantastic models and ok rules. This is great. And you get Zone Mortalis rules, and campain rules, and differen army lists and ......
Jeah, FW is great. Expensive, but great
Please correct my english. I won't get any better if you don't.
It'll be interesting to see how that list functions vs the established meta of high ROF... not convinced tbf
I've just commissioned a Revenant Titan to be painted and am in the process of purchasing 6 Nightwing interceptors/ 3 interceptors and 2 Phoenix Bombers
so the long and short of it is that I love forgeworld and bringing new units that nobody in the club has seen before is a treat that keeps the game fresh.
Some may not see much play (expecting the Revanant to only have a few games in Apoc or vs a Supremacy suit) but they are really fun models to have.
And for the record theory-crafting is a big part of the hobby for me, love it

I would make some changes to this list. I run against a similar list and the podded melta squads are deadly - I would convert at least one of them to plasma - probably the platoon command. The tacticals are costing you too much for how worthless they are - plus you need a tech marine to get you 2 sicarians.
Drop the tactical and take scouts in LSS - take assault cannons if you wish. This change alone frees up over 100 points - more than enough for a tech-marine. Drop Khan because you are out of HQ slots and your storms have infiltrate anyways. Then you have some points to play with...perhaps a thunder-fire cannon, perhaps upgrade to tigurius, perhaps some weapons for your guardsmen too. Just my thoughts.
FW hasn't done much for me yet - I am getting the new corsairs forgeworld book and am converting a wraith-seer so I am real excited about that.

Forge world has actually made my ork army double in size. So many more option now. It has also opened the doors for many new converted vehicles and army list.
Armies:
The Iron Waagh: 10,000+ 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-7-1
Salamanders: 5,000 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-2
Ultramarines: 4,000
Armored Battle Company (DKoK): 4000
Elysians: 500
Khorne Daemons: 2500
FW has given the orks some great squiggly beasts to ride into battle and feed on the silly Marines!
My Armies:
Orks about 15000-16000 mostly unpainted but slowly being worked on
Militarum Tempestus about 2000 points just built
Inquisition about 2000 points unpainted
Officio Assassinorum 570 unpainted
I dont paint quickly
I use to play exclusively chaos space marines with nonforge world. Now I can annoy the gak out of my opponents with forge world armies and bullish rules!
Whirlwind Scorpius is solid, if it does not move you get 1+d3 str8 ap3 small blast with barrage. You can also give it ignore cover legacy. Think it's around 160ish points with legacy. Since you have the blob, you can wrap it pretty good.

I am changing the list to much data has been given to me. I will write the new list after I visit my LGS and eat.

Thank you, I did not know that but I can take one without one correct?

I want to discuss in more details why you are right, but all I can say at the moment is you are right and thank you!

What is the name of the legacy that does this and can you give more details into how legacies work. I am literally an old general despite being 28 years old looking at the new armory that Imperial Players have and I am thinking do you know what you can do with this and the way the rules work now? I am scared of what we can create these days!
You guys did not answer my questions and because of that I choose to be Aizen instead of Kenpachi. I will still share with you my list but understand it is all because I want to use you to help me make my list better, Aizen bankai by the way is complete hypnosis!
The forge world taredown has been both a blessing and a monster. It's given my dark Angels the power to answer air units and the amazing medium armour stuff to have fun with. On the other hand I recognize how much of a cancer it's been on the game with D guns and gargantuans and all sorts of ludicrous nonsense out there fething with the balance between units and the relevancy of units in the game now.
