I'm looking for a Necron list that uses a CAD for mainly some objective games and kill point games. I'm choosing to use a CAD as the core army because Decurions and other lists have been hashed out plenty already. Objective Secured is the primary reason for running a CAD.
CAD:
- Destroy Lord w/ Voidreaper and Phase Shifter - 165
- 5x Triarch Praetorians w/ Rods - 140
- 5x Triarch Praetorians w/ Rods - 140
- 5x Immortals w/ Tesla - 85
- 5x Immortals w/ Tesla - 85
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 3x Canoptek Wraiths w/ Whip Coils - 129
- 3x Canoptek Wraiths w/ Whip Coils - 129
- 5x Destroyers - 200
- 2x Heavy Destroyers - 100
- 2x Heavy Destroyers - 100
- 1x Heavy Destroyer - 50
Total: 1843
So the core of the army are the troops. The 2 units of Wraiths and 2 units of Praetorians are primarily counter-charge and aggressive tacklers, meant to tarpit or kill threats that the gauss spam can't handle. The unit of 5 Destroyers is meant for MEQ and is capable of erasing a 5man tac squad in a single turn while also being useful for shooting at most monstrous creatures or light vehicles. Heavy Destroyers are the skull crackers. They'll shoot at priority targets that another unit in the army can't handle.
Thoughts or suggestions? I'm trying to limit myself to models I currently have. I do have models available for a Destroyer Cult, Canoptek Harvest or Judicator but I figured I'd pick the individual units that I liked from those formations. I don't have any Ghost Arks.

With that many troops would you not want a triarch stalker or two to buff the bs of your infantry to 5? That's my only criticism.

I thought about that. My only concern would be that it'd be the only vehicle in the army. It'd probably die on turn 1. So to make it worthwhile I'd need a squadron which means cutting all the Heavy Destroyers just to fit 2 Stalkers in. Would that be worth it?

Speaking of vulnerable units, that single heavy destroyer seems like a risk. I think putting hi in a row man unit and sacrificing the ability to target an extra unit is worth the cost, as he'll almost certainly give up first blood. Also, I agree with Epartalis that a squadron of triarch stalkers would work wonders in this list. I think dropping the heavy destroyers might be worth it if you can free up some more points to give them tl hgcs and save a bit of your anti-vehicle power. If you go that route, maybe replacing the desroyer lord with Zandrekh is a good idea, as he can switch his warlord trait so that everyone within 12" rerolls ones when shooting. 40 warriors, ten immortals, and five destroyers (if you can fit them all in the bubble) hitting on twos rerolling can put out a lot of firepower.

Hmm, i see. Well here's an alternate list to include Stalkers.
CAD:
- Destroy Lord w/ Voidreaper and Phase Shifter - 165
- 5x Immortals w/ Tesla - 85
- 5x Immortals w/ Tesla - 85
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 10x Warriors - 130
- 3x Canoptek Wraiths - 120
- 3x Canoptek Wraiths w/ 1x Whip Coils - 123
- 5x Destroyers - 200
Judicator Battalion
- 2x Triarch Stalkers w/ Heavy Guass Cannons - 270
- 5x Triarch Praetorians w/ Rods - 140
- 5x Triarch Praetorians w/ Rods - 140
Total: 1848
It's 1 point shy of giving a whip coil to the 2nd Wraith unit. I could lower the voidreaper to a regular warscythe but without a lot of Heavy Destroyers, the Destroyer Lord is my best hope at killing a Wraithknight or one of those nasty Bloodthirsters that Daemonkin armies use (local meta has a player with 2 of these) So a voidreaper gives him a significant boost against such enemies. He can still attach himself to a Warrior squad at the start of the game to give preferred enemy for a round or two.

It seems to me if you are running a CAD for the sake of Obsec, and running so many troops you might want to invest in a few transports...footslogging from point to point is going to break up your increased BS bubble anyway. Ignore the stalkers, ans some destroyers and grab a few transports, that much gauss is enough anti tank as is.

Perhaps in the future I'll invest in Ghost Arks. But for now I'd like to try out a CAD without them. I also have 2 Night/Doomscythes but unsure if they're worth trying to fit in.
However, if I were to get some Ghost Arks, here's an alternate list.
CAD:
- Destroy Lord w/ Voidreaper and Phase Shifter - 165
- 5x Praetorians w/ Rods - 140
- 7x Immortals w/ Tesla - 119
- 7x Immortals w/ Tesla - 119
- 10x Warriors w/ GA - 235
- 10x Warriors w/ GA - 235
- 10x Warriors w/ GA - 235
- 10x Warriors w/ GA - 235
- 3x Wraiths w/ 1x Whip Coils - 123
- 3x Wraiths w/ 1x Whip Coils - 123
- 3x Wraiths - 120
Total: 1849
Obviously a lot more objective secured and it still has 5 counter-charge/aggressive units. It might not be able to kill much very quickly though.
