So i am a dark angels (and blood angels) player and i have bought a lot of blood angels not that long ago so now my blood angels have ended up as my dominant army and i was thinking of starting a dark angels ravenwing army comprised of (you guessed it!) ravenwing and that (in my opinion) could Allie nicely with my blood angels army.

my thinking for this is that ravenwing is solely comprised of bikes and land speeders which are quite mobile and blood angels are a mobile, assault army and with the two allies together (under allies of the imperium) could work well.

the only problem is that i don't have any ravenwing so i thought that someone could help me build up a decent list as i don't really know what works well together

so if someone could help that would be great

The Ravenwing Support Squadron and Black Knights are probably the best units if you're wanting a great list. I have a fair amount of success with Min Ravenwing Biker squads with 2 Special and a Combi-Weapon.

If you just want formations, go with the Ravenwing Support Squadron with a Darkshroud. Accept no substitutes. Unless you're facing something that can ignore cover saves, your landspeeders are pretty much invulnerable.

If you wanna use the Ravenwing detachment, Sammael is a must. His jetbike packs what amounts to an Assault Plasma Cannon. He's also the only guy in the codex with Eternal Warrior, and he comes with a AP2 sword. For 200 points, that's not bad at all. Ignore Sableclaw though, he's super survivable but utter gak at doing anything else (the twin-linked-ness of his weapons are pointless when he's BS5) and the opponent can afford to ignore him during the course of the match. Other than that, RW bikers and Black Knights.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

The ravenshield formation (attack formation I think) is a must, it's like supporting fire from the tau but 24" and lots of bs2 kraks /heavy bolters, I like to add a darkshroud and max 5 speeders, 4+ cover at all the time and 2+ when in any actual cover, jink for the rr and laugh at enemy shooting.

Dark talons went from the worst flyer in the game to pretty damn good, the chance at a vortex shot alone is worth it, str10 AP2 blast the rest of the time is just gravy, add to that the stasis bomb and you can easily wipe Necrons out.
