Hello guys.

I am painting lava bases for my models, and the airbrush job is finished. I was looking at them and wandering if I should paint the bases edge in black... or not ?

Please let me know what would be the best visual in your opinion.

Thanks !

I quite like them as they are actually Oo
But then having the black rim would make the lava highlighting you have dropping over the edges a bit sharper... so I'd say give it a go on one and see what you like best? Oo

What color is the model you're putting on them?

I would say if you need to get the model to pop more on the base, pain the edge black. If not, leave as is.

I would repaint the ground though, as it looks like it is sinking into the lava. Except the edge of the ground as the OSL effect there looks really cool!

They look good like that. Try using mspaint or something on the images to give you an idea what they look like with a black rim
