Alright, I'm going to be fighting against DKOK (with my Spore Mine Nids) as part of a tile Campaign at my FLGS.
For some backstory, the DKOK are assaulting where I've just made planetfall and we just traded lists (attached). We're facing each other for the first time.

Having looked at his list, I think I'm in for a rough time (mega-understatement) and so have turned to Dakka to help me min/max my tactics against the Kriegers!

My Game-plan:

I stand no chance of eliminating the Kriegers --- the Artillery and his Men will prevent my Spore tide from successfully moving up the field. Each turn he's putting out 12 3" blasts and 3 5" blasts, backed up with his Autocannons and lasguns. Therefore to win, I have to hold the objectives and prevent him from pushing out of his deployment to take them.

I'll deploy my Sporocysts on objectives and their spawned spores will screen them from any advancing Kriegers.

The Sporefields will infiltrate as far forwards as possible, simply attempting to buy time -- keeping the Kriegers back with their pitiful lives. I will deepstrike regenerating units back into the front line and keep reinforcing them as long as I am able.

I will attempt to drop the Meiotic Spores behind his artillery and pray that I get turn 1, that may allow me to reduce some of the incoming Artillery fire if I can eliminate one of his batteries.

I'll try and keep Old One Eye back to hit any of his break-out attempts, he may also be an arty magnet - potentially helping to keep the Sporocysts alive.

---------------------------

Anyone have any other ideas or constructive criticism about my tactics?

TLDR: Help me Nid-Kenobi you're my only hope!

this is a hard counter. Earthshakers and MoO can put 3 shots a turn on your warlord that wound on 2+, every turn starting on turn 1. The entirety of your army is extraordinarily vunerable to Quad Launchers, which he maxed. His troops have flamers and his extra points went into engineers with more blast you're super weak too.

You can expect to hit hard counters when you build a super focused list like that. Their isn't really much tactical advice to be had, you've pretty much outlined your best case scenario. Introduce new rules where IG can run out of ammo. Then maybe.

I know, it's just unfortunate I ran into him on the Campaign map lol; both of us didn't know what the opponent had and it's just fate that I met my hard counter.

Thanks for taking a look anyway!
