Greetings Gimnas! Farbroman here, I have uncovered some old Datasheets and I am having a bit of trouble deciphering the information encrypted on these Datasheets. I suspect someone or something may have purposefully encrypted the Data to hide something...any help would be greatly appreciated Grimnas.

Alright Farbroman, I've deciphered as much as I could, many of the encryption codes were very dated and used an older format, terribly difficult to uncover what little information I could. From what I could decipher, the contents of these Datasheets refer to a Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes known as the "Crimson Knights". I have compiled the information down below for you.
Chapter Founding: Unknown (Undecipherable)
Chapter Status: Active (though they may no longer be active, Like I said, the information is very old)
Chapter Master: Carnelious Manar
Chapter Strength: 700 (I presume the strength may be lower or higher, depending on their current status)
notable Actions: Defense of Sub-Sector Baralane Omega. Several Companies of the Crimson Knights along with the Cellisium 245th Regiment defended the Sub-Sector from an Dark Eldar raiding fleet. The Crimson Knights and the Cellisium 245th fought the Dark Eldar for nearly 2 years before the Dark Eldar retreated into the Webway.
Battle for the Baralane Alpha Sector. Most of the Crimson Knights Chapter along with the Cellisium 245th Regiment defended the Baralane Sector from the Dark Eldar Invasion Fleet led by the Archon "Havell the Butcher", Leader of the previous Dark Eldar fleet which invaded the Baralane Omega Sub-Sector. Chapter Master Carnelious Manar personally led a Vanguard of the 1st Company of the Crimson Knights and a battalion of Cellisium Grenadiers on the hive Planet 'Tavlon' where Carnelious himself fought Havell. Though the duel ended in a stalemate as the Dark Eldar forces were routed from the Planet, forcing Havell to retreat and regroup his forces. Admiral Mikon led the Battlefleet "Shadow Bane" against the retreating Dark Eldar fleet. The battle was bloody with heavy casualties sustained on both sides, though Admiral Mikon was unable to completely destroy the Dark Eldar fleet as they eventually made their way into the WebWay. The remnant of the Dark Eldar Invasion force were still present on the Moon 'Korrelio' which orbited 'Tavlon' and had heavily fortified the Moon. Carnelious and 3 Companies of the Crimson Knights along with the Cellisium 245th assaulted the Moon and mounted a seige of the Dark Eldar's fortifications. The seige lasted several months until a detachment of Cellisium Grenadiers led by Colonel 'Hyperos' managed to infiltrate the fortifications and make an opening in the defenses to allow the Crimson Knights to assault the Dark Eldar Remnant from within. Victory was swift thanks to the Grenadiers. Carnelious was so proud of this Victory that he established a Fortress Monastery on 'Korrelio', establishing 'Korrelio' as the Chapters new Homeworld.
That is all I could gather from the Datasheets. Oh! and by the way, the colour of the Crimson Knights' armour is Red! Just in case you had any questions regarding their appearance.

Thank you Grimnas! I will be departing for 'Korrelio' in 4 days. I will attempt to interview Carnelious and reestablish imperial contact with the Crimson Knights. And yes, I assumed their Armour was Red considering the name of their Chapter is the ' Crimson Knights'...bastard...When I return we will have to take a trip to Reth and spend some time on the golden Beaches! It's been what, 3 years? Anyway, I'd better gather my belongings and prepare for my coming voyage. Emperor be with you Grimnas.

I hope you all enjoy reading this, I figured it'd be quite interesting to read a conversation between two imperial officials haha, go ahead and leave your opinions of this down below!

This should probably be in the Dakka Fiction section.

The Inquisition has better code-crackers than anything the Administratum can dream of. In fact, the Inquisition possesses devices that the AdMech consider borderline tech-heresy for plundering the contents of data-shrines.

It otherwise, more or less, fits the examples we've seen in other sources of private communications between Inquisitors and other notables with whom they are familiar.

Dark Eldar aren't really fort-builders, but I suppose the Inquisitor will learn the truth behind those claims when he arrives in-system. It's also, generally, the other way around for siege-breaking. The Guard will besiege a fortress, the Space Marines will be the ones who create the opening that permits the Hammer of the Emperor to come down.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

If the dark eldar are on a planet outside the webway for more than a handful of hours then it's because they are dead.

DE are raiders. They come into real space to do a smash and grab for slaves. They don't hold territory, except in Commorragh.

Also, there is no way an inquisitor would use an administratum official to decrypt some data. First, the inquisition routinely changes old data to fit their current world view and they know that most of the imperial archives are garbage. So the only thing they trust are their own archives. Second, they have tools and equipment that far exceed what is reasonably deemed "allowed".

You might consider changing things such that the administratum official is asking the inquisitor to locate the Crimson Knights. maybe the Knights where captured by a DE raiding party and are currently being used for some of the DE "games". Maybe they are simply hiding in the webway about to assault one of the spires in Commorragh.

On the other hand, few can actually tell the difference between Dark Eldar and Craftworld Eldar, or their different cousins like Harlequins, Corsairs and Exodites. Maybe a faction other than the Dark Eldar was mistakenly labeled as such, which could lead to some serious trouble if an insufficient force is sent to re-establish control of the system? And not even the Dark Eldar are immune to temptation if the occupation of a system would seem likely to grant incredible rewards. Obviously not slaves, but maybe some dark relic they wish to uncover?

Inquisitors also use whatever resources they have, depending on who they trust and how much noise they wish to make. If Inquisitor Fabroman has a trusted Administratum official to use and suspects some other inquisitor would get wind of his investigation and do something he's not in favor of he will use the Administratum official. The Inquisition is, after all, not a monolithic body where everyone agrees. Inquisitor Fabroman seems interested in making contact with this lost Chapter, to ascertain whether they're still loyal or maybe just to force them into his own service with threats of Inquisitorial attention. He doesn't want other Inquisitors to interfere in his investigation. Why should he use Inquisitorial resources on it when it will flag the request for every other Inquisitor to see?

I understand that there are many issues with this, but hey, at least it isn't cannon haha but yes, Farbroman is a traditionalist and prefers to remain within compliance with the larger Imperium. I was going to elaborate more on the actual battle against the Dark Eldar, but didn't have the time nor that patience (As unfortunate as it sounds)
