Hey guys, I'm looking to add a small amount of grey knights into my CSM army, I know the argument of no grey knight has fallen but I'm not looking to have fallen knights just scavenged armour in my army, not every grey knight has been recovered after all.

Other than my sorcerer in terminator armour who I will try to make look as pristine as a grey knight I'm looking to have the rest of the army kit bashed with loyalist and chaos parts.

So with that in mind any tips on how to make the grey knight armour look damaged and dedicated but still look grey knights.

Well, you could heat up some wire and punch holes/draw "melta"-lines on the armor, or make holes and let some (greenstuffed?) skin show.
Maybe open them up on the back, you know, tin-can-opener style

Edit: do the marking outdoors or with a mask..

make it look corrupted with greenstuff, or during the painting process, rust, typhus corrosion etc will look good.

Might be a good idea to decide what they will be first, i.e. will they have a mark? MoN might look like above, MoS might have repainted it in bright colours or patterns. MoK might be heavily battle damaged and covered in gore, MoT might use bits like from the forsaken kit to show mutation.

Fluff-wise, I think Grey Knight armour is blessed so I think Chaos Marines would probably keep their sticky paws off.

But I can't stop you, and I'll certainly go with it if you can make them look cool enough - rule of cool, after all is what makes or breaks any tabletop game.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Hmm forgot it might be blessed armour, to the codex again for a quick read.

James I want to try and keep my army away from being painted up to have a set mark so I can swap them around when I want too.

You can paint them with your csm color scheme but with tons and tons of scratch that show the real silver armour beneath, and maybe add some dirt all over the model and give the sensation of a really old armour that has been repainted

In a extremely old white dwarf a guy used the grey knights terminator for a thousand sons army, and he just painted them blue instead of silver with no conversion at all

Have you thought of adding them as part of a Word Bearer contingent?

Hmm, the scratched armour sounds like a good plan, it will be difficult for my current skill to make it look good but I will try

Dreadclaw why a word bearer contingent?

Because the Word Bearers are known to write or have scripture on their armour

Is there anyway to defile the armour (fluff-wise) to remove the blessing? If something can be blessed, then it seems that it could be unblessed as well (what was given can be taken away). Chaos gods can corrupt and defile entire planets, so surely somewhere in the fluff there should be something that can get rid of the blessing.

It could easily be their version of sorcerous armor or something.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I don't know. If you give to some Emperor's Children they could probably try, though it may come back a bit sticky. Word Bearers Apostles would also probably know a thing of two.
