I want to scratchbuild a warkopta. The coolest helicopter ever is the bell uh1d. Revell has models in many scales,
can anyone tell me what scale I should use, so that it fits on the table and orks will fit in too?
1:48? 1:32?
And what vehicles of other races would fit to loot?

This isn't much help, but you gotta put door gunners on it. I took a ride in Vietnam era Huey before and sat in the door gunner spot. Holy crap was it both amazing and completely frightening.

There's a very cool Valkyrie/Hind conversion knocking around on the web, which I believe uses a 1:48 kit, so that might be a good guide for scale.

1:32 is about right for cars

Well Groo you have my full respect!
Its not the safest place on earth on that spot.

Valkries are cool models, but maybe a bit too big?

Just to clarify, I wasn't suggesting that you use the Valkyrie (I agree, probably too big), but that if the 1:48 Hind fits that kit, that's probably the scale you want.

If a 1:48 Hind is about the right size, you're probably going to want a 1:35 or 1:32 Huey. The Hind is significantly larger than a Huey.

I have now a Bell hu-1 (Huey Hog) 1:48.
Compared with the Forgeworld-Kopter its tail is longer and when I put gunners on the sides the cabin will be quite full.

Is it a Problem when the cargo, maybe 10 Boys physically do not fit in? I mean for rules like you get is what you see?

Have you ever thought about how the space marines all fit in a rhino? Actualy being able to fit the models in is not a real issue...
