Hello guys, I figured I would start this thread to chronically my work on my renegade Space Marine Chapter, The Forsaken.

Already posted in the painting section is my Chosen Champion.








Next finished is my Dark Apostle. (I still have another round of water effects, followed by some rippling and cleaning up the base rim, but the model is done.)

The Champion and Dark Apostle look great! Really digging the colour scheme, how did you do the weathering, it looks fantastic

As for the weathering, I weathered the emblem by using a wet transfer, and once it dried, I used some medium grit sand paper to gently scrape some of it away, then sealed it. Then I did a round of brush chipping with runefang silver, followed by a round of the good old aquarium sponge with the same color. Did the same for Typhus Corrosion, and finally Ryza Rust. I sealed it again with Matt Varnish, then used some weathering chalks to add some streaking, and more variety to the rust orange, and sealed it again.

Time for an update!

I have finished up my Demon Prince for my Chaos Space Marine army. It was a lot of work to get the conversions and greenstuff to look just right, but I am really happy with how it worked out. I was very intimidated by both the idea of doing exposed muscle, and modeling flames, as I hadn't done that before, but I am really happy with how it turned out.

Some freaky conversions! i like it, my only complaint is, not enough! need more!

I have finished my Blood Slaughterer. I have to say, it was a really fun kit to put together and paint. i really like how the machinery and tubing has skulls and skeletal arms intertwined in it. Overall I am really happy with how it turned out. My intention is to run it as a Maulerfiend.

Awesome looking Deamon Prince. Reminds of something from the game Doom.

My latest project is complete. It is a Rhino that I did quite a bit of work on to get just right.

Your weathering effects are epic. What I would change is the tail end of the smoke ball. The last pure grey part looks excessive. I think all spikes in the rhino. Both in front and on top need your weathering touch

Very cool. However as a SoB player I take offence at the discretion of our Rhino

Seriously though, it looks brilliant, I like the fiery runes.

It was one hell of a month, but the awesome kit that my fiancee got me for my birthday is finally complete.

It is a Nurgle Heldrake conversion for my Forsaken Chaos Space Marines, and fits in very well with my skeletal plague marines(coming soon), demon prince, and winged Lord. (also coming soon)
