I just want to be sure I'm reading things right. In the CSM codex it says that characters with marks of specific gods can only join units with no mark or a mark of that same god (or an unmarked unit can join a marked squad). However, the daemons from the Daemonkin Book have no marks, and with the Daemonic Alignment rule taken away, they can be joined by non-marked ICs. So, am I correct in saying that a different marked IC (Say, a Nurgle Biker Sorcerer) can join a squad of unmarked khorne daemons (say, a squad of Flesh Hounds)?

It's unfluffy, but that's how I read it.

Yes, a mortal CSM IC of ANY mark may join KDK units, as KDK daemon units do not have any mark

Even in the base CSM codex you could do this IIRC (e.g. use nurgle daemon prince to give slow and purposeful/shrouded to a tzeentch unit)...

HOWEVER I do think it is against the spirit of the rules, especially considering how the Axe of Blind Rage FAQ went (can DoKhorne use a MoKhorne only weapon).

That said, I suppose mixing with the hoi polloi of a different god (marked troops) is a bit different to having a superstar champion-turned demigod of a different god (daemon prince) joining ranks.

1) A daemon prince cannot join any unit; he has no IC rule
2) Read the CHaos codex rule on mixing marks. No, you cannot fo it anyway

1) Ah good catch! Hadn't noticed that. Don't tend to use DPs that much.

2) the point was DPs don't have marks, so aren't effected by the rule (but as you point out they aren't IC's so doesn't matter).
