Hi all, i am busy with a different army ( dint wanna go into it now) my first squad of tac marines are representing the salamanders... I have a salamander as the vet sargeant and busy painting a black dragon for the second model. Busy doing some work on a model for a storm giant. My problem is i can not find any other succesor chapters of the salamanders. Every where i look i just get that the bd and sg are presumed to be succesor chapters. If in fact i am looking in the wrong places please do advize, if im not. What other two succesor chapters would fit in with the 5 man tac unit. Preferably official.

There are no Salamanders successor Chapters. The Black Dragons and Storm Giants (as you've already pointed out) are only presumed, but TBH even this is clutching at straws as there is little to support it in updated fluff. So really, you've got Salamanders or nothing at all unfortunately. However, it may be a good idea, if you want a theme of Salamander-related Chapters, to do a squad based on who is friendly with the Salamanders. After the Badab War they struck up a 'friendship' with the Executioners (an IF Successor) after they defended Salamanders Gene-seed from the Astral Claws. You could argue that they are on good terms with the Black Templars, as they contributed 70 marines to help Reclusiarch Grimaldus defend Hive Helsreach (Ultimately they were reassigned though). Raven Guard are known to be friendly towards the Salamanders due to shared history fighting together for much of the Horus Heresy. They're just the 3 I can think of most readily. If you're looking for successors - no such luck, but you may be able to settle at 'close allies'.

thank you for replying, i appretiacate your vaste knowkledge on spacemarine know how, i did not want to go into what i a am attempting to do as it is not in this thread.
It is my fault of asking this q on its own.all i am asking is that if ....,,ypu had a sallamander as a tac vet sargeant and he had 4 other tac marines to be with him they would be ....
1. Black dragons
2. Storm giants
3. ???????
4. ????????


In a unit of 5 and each individual was from a different chapter ..,,what would the other chapters be

If it were me, I would do No.3 and No.4 as Raven Guard and Executioners, because there are no confirmed successors to the Salamanders, but they are on good terms with these Chapters.
