Greetings to one and all.

So I thought I would join Dakka after getting back into painting and modelling 40k, I used to paint and do conversions when I was in my early teens (been gaming since I was 11) but hit my late teens and found out about a social life (now in my 30's). I have been popping in and out of the hobby for years but mainly painting model WWII Airplanes, though this was fun I started to get bored and started to look for something I could play around with a bit more. Thanks to a few friends and my brother I have found my love of Warhammer again, so I am back into the hobby with a vengeance and wanting to improve my skills and create something to be proud of. I'm not really into the gaming side yet but more into the building, thinking and designing side.

I hoping to gain idea's, share skills and meet like minded people.

Currently working on a display piece using a mixture of GW and forge world sets depicting a scout biker from the Warbringers chapter.

Anyway that's me in short.

All the best,
Sevren.

Welcome to dakka. It is good to see another modeller. I used to only do conversions for a few of my friends for their 40k armies before finally getting into the game itself as a player. I'm looking forward to seeing your work; perhaps we can discuss skills, I'm trying to work out how to do a large scenic base for my Rune Priest in Terminator Armor (for Space Wolves).

Huron Blackheart? Bah! I am the truly black-hearted of the wolves!

Hey Corupine, Thank you for the warm welcome to the site. If i'm honest I'm not into the game so much but do enjoy playing it every now and then with my friends armies. Like I said I enjoy the creative side of planning a piece, researching into which ever chapter or army I'm doing and then building and painting.

Thanks and I will post a pic of a few small pieces I have completed so far. I have only been doing it again a few months as far as 40k models go but have been painting and modelling in various ways including a model railway which taught about creating good terrain and bases.

What kind of base are you looking for natural terrain, urban or space age?

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Thanks NH Gunsmith,

That's the main reason i joined this site as i have found some really useful tips and idea's.

Will post some of my Mini's on here soon.

Started on the Warbringer scouts this weekend and have completed the first one as a test of colour scheme's.. couldn't find any useful guides so i had to adapt my own, its all looking good so far and will start on the scout bikes over the weekend once they arrive from order.

Sevren.
