I liked the Runeson on Magmadroth with his spear look the best, so that's who was built from the box!

Comments or criticisms welcome, the basing my first real try with cork.

I think thats a very successful version of what I think is the best fantasy monster GW have produced in a long time.
Really nice colours on the beast.
The dwarf and his "saddle" look a bit flat or undefined, but thats basicly my personal taste that the rider could have had darker and more distinct shades.

The overall impression is really nice though.

The base is really impressive too! Love me some lava bases.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

Hard to tell without close-ups, but I agree that the rider looks a bit flat, especially with the great work you've done on the beast. Nice work on the lava base too.

Thanks all. I think I'd blame my photography for that, he has the standard GW pain scheme on the dwarf and he looks pretty good up close. I followed one of the suggested paint schemes (in the instructions that came in the box) on the saddle. I agree it didn't turn out as well. As for the paint scheme on the actual dragon I went off on my own and just worked at it until I was happy.

Magmadroths are perhaps the coolest AoS minis out there, and you nailed it! I agree with others that the rider looks kind of flat, but a quick shade and highlight should fix that easily enough.

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.
