Just wondering if a VSG's protective 12-inch bubble also applies to buildings, such as a Firestorm Redoubt.

It looks like it does if the building is targeted from outside the VSG bubble.

A void shield generator's bubble would apply to buildings, but understand that the "void shield" option you can take on buildings other than the void shield generator doesn't create a 12" bubble. Those versions of the void shield only protect the building itself, and anything on its battlements.
