These are nice! I suppose you don't technically need the center plate either.
Gaming tables need more tank traps, they'll surely boost assault based infantry! 4++ that doesn't slow down your movement/charge or wreck your initiative? Awesome!

To be fair, I would argue that a tank trap would only provide a 5+ cover. I mean, it really is just a couple bars of metal covering minimal area, where a 4+ is more indicative of some sort of wall like sandbags or concrete from ruined buildings.
Still, absolutely love them, might throw some together for my table.

Well, you're arguing against the rule book, no matter how flimsy the tank traps look, they are magnetic and great at catching bullets (only reason I can think for why they are defined as 4++ in the brb ).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

Thank you guys. i Realy enjoy that you like them
yes tank traps offer a 4+ cover save buy the Strongold Assault book. Imagine them thiker lol
Here is the rule word for word:
Tank Traps
These obstacles allow all but vehicules to pass unhindered.
Tank Traps are impassable terrain to non skimmer vehicules, dangerous terrain to bike, and open ground for all authe runits. A model in cover behind tank traps has a 4+ cover save.
You can buy them for 15pts each and place them within 6'' off a building or a deffence line. pay for tangle wire and it will become a dangerous terrain.
or simply throw them on the battlefield as decoration and ignore ther rules

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Oh nice. Really nice way to use bits that otherwise would just hide in boxes.

I think GW might have had dragon’s teeth style tank traps in mind when they gave them a 4+ cover save. A row of man-sized concrete pylons, perfect for infantry to hide behind but rough for tanks to cross.
The use of the plate makes these look very nice. It’s that little added detail that takes them from “It’s a bunch of sprue” to “battlefield debris"
