Hello all!!

I really want to have weird boyz and summon demon units. However, since they are desperate allies with daemons (i personally think they should be convenience anyway) they will have to roll D6 to see if they miss out on a turn if too close, which is very likely since both armies are melee focused and want to get stuck in.

My question is, if i only use the powers to summon blood letters, blood crushers, champions of khorne and bloodthirsters, could they count as Demonkin whom they are technically allies of convenience which would ignore the while one eye open rule?

I imagine they would be from the chaos daemons codex. Not sure, but I think the brb clarifies this in the malefic or conjuration rules.

The maelifc table is clear that the powers use Codex Chaos Daemons

From the very last sentence of the 'Summoning' power (emphasis added):

Rules for these units can be found in Codex: Chaos Daemons

There is no permission to use any other codex for summoned daemons.

I do not own the codex or have my rule book with me, hence the question, but thank you all for clarifying!

Also, to note, the conjuration powers specify the unit summoned can take a champion, a banner and an instrument for free.
