So far we know very little about the last reported offshoot of the Dwarf race. We know the Azyr Dwarves (descendents of Dwarfs who found refuge in Azyr before the gates were closed: represented as the Dispossessed and the Pre-AOS models) are of the "Armies of Azyrheim" who have emerged in the wake of the Stormcasts. The Fyreslayers are the offshoot of Grimnir.

So far the only mention of the Metal Dwarves are snippets here and there. Of cloud based, mechanized armies gathering to strike at Chaos. We know they are the followers of Grungi, who left Azyr for Chamon just before the Gates of Azyr were sealed.

GW has flipped flopped on the Duardin/Dwarf faction names before. With the revelation of the Fyreslayers They were originally called "Red Slayers" from the original Order promotionals. From the same promotional that leaves the name "Steamheaded Duardin" so far unclaimed.

One possible name for them is "The Iron Brotherhood". The Iron Brotherhood is mentioned in the Stormcast Battletome as allies that the Stormcast sought out but it makes no mention of who or what they are. So far besides Allarielle the only allies Sigmar is specifically mentioned as having gone for are the Chamon Dwarves following Grungi.

My bet is that the Chamon Dwarves will have large amounts of clock work and at the very least a fleet of Zeppelins.

'Murica! (again)

Oh that would be sweet. As a longtime dwarf collector and player I'm sure I'll buy whatever it is but if they moved even slightly toward steampunk lots of possibilities. I don't see it moving so far as Titan Forge's Metal Beards but GW would have started this two years ago or more anyway. But, yeah, im stoked. Great topic by the way

I believe the Iron Brotherhood is just the name of one tribe/clan of these metal dwarves. Like the Fyreslayers, there certainly are different communities each with their own traditions and way of life.

But I like the idea here, anyway.
