Hello fellow Dakkanauts,

We all know that template weapons are absolutely briliant as a deterent for assaults, but are they as good as we think?

The question is can you Jink against a wall of death attack?
The rules for wall of death state that it automatically inflicts D3 hits on the charging unit, resolved at its normal Strength and AP value.
It does not specify that Special rules are also accounted for e.g. Ignores Cover/Shred/Fleshbane and the likes.
Does this make our favorite pointy eared jet bikes even more OP?

Love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

The weapon does not lose the "template" type. Template grants Ingores Cover.

So while you can jink, unless you have another reason for doing so, it wont help againt templates.

In order to ignore all the Special Rules, especially Ignores Cover, you would have to ignore Wall of Death, making it a self-destructive paradigm.

While it does not state that they get to use their Special Rules, you are firing the Weapon, and we are not told to ignore their Special Rules. For examples where Special Rules are ignored review the Pistol and Close Combat Weapon Rules, as well as Hammer of Wrath, particularly focusing on its relationship with Smash.
