What type of terrain do you use. I use a icy world. Sometimes a forest world.

Ruins, as it's the easiest to model and get terrain for, but I love Ice worlds, Forests/Jungles, and City Fights

Ruins/cityscape

Currently planning a city board.

I've had a trench/muddy wastland board for 10 years now, it's awesome but our meta is a bit bored of it now.

I use all of the above, as long as it is tall and line of sight blocking.

The really large "lego" blocks. Paint them black and drybrush and you can connect them anyway you want

I like city terrain. I like the idea of infanty ducking behind buildings or shooting through broken windows. It's also pretty cool when a tank or a walker turns a corner and opens fire on a bunch of dudes. I much prefer more terrain than less terrain, especially for city fights.

Wtf, there's no vote button for icy forest! Just kidding. I'm using lots of snowy woods, low vegetation, hills, rocky outcrops and amidst this I have an entire medieval era village.

I use this mining facility, 2 sanctum kits built as 1 large LOS blocker, a manufactorum and some other random ruins.

These days I mainly use ruined buildings as that is what most people have.
Back in the day it would be open fields with woods and hills dotted about, maybe the odd ruin

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

I have terrain for about 8 tables.
It varies from urban, to mountainous, arctic tundra or desert.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I don't play much at all at home, but in the last couple of weeks I've been assembling this Imperial Sector kit I impulse bought 2 years ago. I also bought a second Imperial Sector when they were selling them at a discount in January. And I've bought the Shrine of the A. and a couple of other individual kits.

I finished building them today, and I now got 10 ruined buildings, most of them 2-3 stories high, 4-6 sections wide. I've intentionally built them so that they would fit the FW Cityscape tiles, which I've wanted to buy ever since they were released a couple of years ago. I know from reference photos exactly how big my buildings would have to be to fit the bases/foundations sculpted on the tiles. And I also realize I've built at least twice as many buildings as I would need to cover the Cityscape tiles with the appropriate buildings.

Urban tends to lead to better coverage, more blocking of los. City/Urban is my preference.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

My home board is a tundra (that being a snowy desert with sparse plant life, not a winter wonderland) while the terrain pieces I use are usually ruins, barricades, and/or industrial related pieces.

Tuna skeleton terrain would be interesting those things are huge.
