Ghazghkull - 225 pts
Mad Dok Grotsnik - 160 pts
Nobz x3 (Big Choppa x3) - 89 Pts
Warboss x2 (Eavy Armor + Big Choppa) - 138 pts

Waaagh Band - Core - 583 Pts
Warboss (Power Klaw, Eavy Armor) - 89 Pts
Mek - 15 Pts
Nobz x3 - 54 Pts

Troops - Gretchin 10 + Runtherd - 35 Pts

Speashulists - Auxiliary - 134
Tankbustas x8 (Trukk) - 134

Total Pts - 1849/1850

So I tried the Great Waagh Detachment last week, and it did really well tying stuff up (Fearless everywhere) but the issue I had was killing stuff. So I wanted to take a Stompa + the rest.

Couple of questions

1) Is this legal
2) If legal, both the Mek Boss Buzzgob and Ghazkull both say that if you take them they have to be your Warlord. So what happens in this case? Do I get to choose?

Thanks!

It seems legal so long as the point values on that stompa are correct and whoever you are playing with has no issue with its use.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Can't you only take Buzzgob and the Stompa for 400 points as part of a Dread Mob detachment? That would also mean a 60pt Spanna Boyz squad, at minimum.

The misbegotten result of a regrettable threesome between two orky gods and one multi-use utensil.

From what I read 'Mek Boss Buzzgob may also be included in a Codex: Orks army as a HQ choice.'

And taking the Stompa is just an upgrade and changes it to a Lord of War choice.

List is legal if you play the rules raw. They are also legal under ITC.

List looks real fine too, I will actually pass it forward.

No this list is not ITC legal, you cannot take 2 LOW.

@saidinwg
To be more specific, ITC states that if a unit can allow more than 1 LoW (like Stormsurge units can take 3 of them) then that's ok, and if a formation allows you to take multiple LoWs (ie Imperial Knights Barional Court) then thats ok too. But you cannot take more than 1 LoW even if you take multiple detachments that have LoW slots, only 1 fortification and 1 LoW may be taken per army regardless of how many slots are open for them.

See I read it as followed from the rules:

Regardless of Detachments, no more than 1 Fortification and/or 1 Super Heavy/Gargantuan Lord of War may be taken from the allowed LoW list, below.
Exception: One detachment in your army may include an Imperial Knight. So long as the detachment restrictions allow for multiple LoW, you may exceed the 0-1 LoW restriction within this detachment so long as all other LoW are also Imperial Knights.
Exception: One detachment in your army may include a unit of Tau Stormsurge. This unit may contain more than one Stormsurge model.
Note: A Fortification does not count as a model in your army for the purposes of gaining detachment special rules unless that detachment specifically mentions Fortifications as benefiting form them.

The way I read it I can't have more than one Super Heavy/Gargantuan LOW in the army. I only have 1 (Buzzgob Stompa), and the other LoW (Ghaz) isn't a Super Heavy/Garg.

Or am I reading it wrong?

Sounds like you'd be right, Ghaz is neither garg or super heavy. I'll send this to a few buddies that are TO's to get their opinions and I'll get back to you on it!

Surely the bikes in the ghazgkull detachment aren't troops as they're not in Zhadsnarks formation?

That list is not legal anymore since they updated the Ghazkul book.
You have to take the formations now (Like the Waaagh band and such)
Its hard to put a MFF in a Buzzgob list now.

To bad, it was nice seeing ork lists winning tournaments

@alex0911: I think your list is illegal, bro. Not positive but purdy sure Zhardsnark only makes HIS detachment's bikers troops. But who cares. Playing eldar RAW is cheating anyways. Congrats on the win.

Honor would require you to forefeit, however. Be the bigger man. Also... nice work. You probably deserved to win. I am totally impressed.
