Well, it shows Sega still hasn't forgotten they own this IP, and Relic is still at work.
I think its a very, very, strong indication that Dawn of War 3 is still in development.

He was released because it is the 5-year anniversary of DOW 2 they said. But I definitely think they wouldn't be supporting the game or marking anniversaries if they weren't working on a sequel. So yay!

Or, was it ready for release just before the THQ crash? It might just be a good time to drum up a few more sales.
Not that I don't want DoW3 or anything, but writing in a new DLC for an 'old' game sounds a bit odd.
It is still available for free though, so grab it while you can.
