This is the second fully-fledged list I've put together, and is designed to engage the Space Marine-heavy local meta I've so far had to deal with. The general idea is to force the enemy to divide their fire and choose which units to eliminate, giving the rest of the army time to bombard the enemy from range.

Will get into tactics, but first - the list.

Now, to head off some questions.

Why do I have two Commanders? Well, primarily, it fits my army fluff, but it also serves a purpose. By splitting signature systems between multiple models, I keep from making either Commander too tempting a target. The enemy had to decide - do they target my plasma team, going for Slay the Warlord, or do they target my fusion tem, and try to remove my max-range melta weapons from play along with my greatest close combat weapon.

Why two crisis teams? My local meta loves them some heavy armor. Terminators, Knights, and AV14 vehicles are common. By deep striking two independent teams, I can effectively engage multiple high-value targets while maintaining greater board control. Also if one team gets charged, I still have another team bouncing around wreaking havoc. Furthermore, I have noticed a tendency in my local meta to be terrified of Riptides. My hope is that the enemy will go all out in engaging my Riptide, just for my teams to drop in behind them and go pewpew in their keisters.

The broadsides are, ironically, the big guns of this army. The sheer amount of shots that squad can fire is staggering, and the ability to glance AV12 cannot be overstated. Plus, with the Retaliation Cadre, the entire army effectively has Relentless. Extremely mobile for an army the enemy expects to bunker into a gun line.

The one thing I'm not sure with the army (I have yet to deploy it, seeing as my first Riptide model is still in its box and somewhere in Russia, damn eBay) is if I will utilize Low Altitude Deployment. It's an amazing formation bonus, to be sure, but if I utilize it that leaves just my marker drone squads and maybe my command squad on the field first turn. All very juicy targets. I'm also somewhat worried about objective control - I'll likely be goving up a couple of objectives until my firepower can start blasting troops off of them. The monat suits are primarily there to grab objectives, and the broadside team can entrench around one as well. Still, it's a risk in an already highly aggressive list.

Thoughts?
