Hello Dakka Dakka,

Got a big 3,000 point game against my friends Orks next week, decided to try and use everything I own in the most competitive way I could.

Only reason I did not go for full Gladius, I do not own that many vehicles so decided on just a Demi company for that nice extra use of doctrines.

I also am trying out the contemptor dreadnought as I just got one earlier today, so want to see how they perform.

Even if you can’t go full company gladius for the free transports, you do have enough stuff for any of the auxiliary picks to make a basic one? The extra doctrines can be quite nice.

It feels like you are stretching to reach 3k. You have a lot of points in upgrades that I don’t think are going to pay for themselves. Like all the powerfists.

I’m old fashioned and like to see heavy weapons in full tac squads. You’d probably get more milage out of them then a fist. It might be worth moving some to pods, rather then rhinos. A single pod is dropping to it’s death, 2 can open up a second front. You want an odd number of pods to maximize the first wave.

You have a CAD with a spare FA slot, you have grav cents. Get a drop pod for them.

Plasma pistols are comically overpriced. Flamers kill the sort of things your assault squad wants to be charging anyway. You loose a CC attack, but the burning makes up for it. Your tac squads have powerfists but your assault sarge is packing a chainsword? Who in the quartermasters section did he piss off? Unless by “chainsword” you meant “Eviscorator” Get the guy at least a power sword.

Where is the CM going? Tanking for the cents or command squad? In general, artificer armor is a better buy then TDA. Unless you are planning on deep striking or really like the model.

Get the apothecary for the command squad. FNP helps with survivability. Also, don’t stop with 3 meltaguns. If you crunch the numbers it’s not enough to ensure a kill. 4-5 is the way to go.

MLs are kinda meh these days. Frag missiles just don’t work well, even against their ideal targets. Go for LCs. The extra S and AP make a big difference.
