I paint for fun and sell off everything I complete. These were given to me with the instructions to do anything I wanted.
Question, comments, critique all welcome.

I add a few bits to make it more interesting and add some color. The puddles are clear resin tinted with some brown paint. Real WW1 pictures of no-mans land were the inspiration.

Those are awesome, I love the muddy puddles.

the only thing I can think of as a critique is the little puddles seem a little too regular

Color-wise irregular ? I ran out of resin so they were more of a last minute add to use up what I had before it went bad.

Ah, no I mean the shape of them, they're very round if they're meant to be natural. Course just occurred to me, they might be smaller craters from weapons. Anyway, just a minor thing. I think the colour is great actually, and the amount of fill, since it makes some of them look more like they're soaking into the ground (as they would).

All of the terrain is from GW and everything except the bodies and the orc vehicle is molded right into the "shell". I think they are meant to be blended into a larger tile.

Perusing my copy of "The Great War" photo journal by the Imperial War Museum (fantastic, fantastic book if you're a WW1 enthusiast like me) and most of the craters don't have that flat of a surface. Might just be a trick of the photo though.

You should tackle some Eastern Front style above ground trenchworks next. Would look awesome with your skills.
