In the warp, searching for Marbo

I recently got my hands on a Leman Russ Demolisher/Punisher/Executioner kit for cheap, and was going to add it to my guard army. However, my Ork army is severely lacking in armor, and I was thinking of letting them loot it. All I can think to use it as is a looted wagon with a kill cannon. Right now all I have is about 45 boys, 5 lootas, 17 bikers, 4 koptas, and a trukk. I already ordered another trukk, a battle wagon, mega grot tank, and 5 lil ones.

Is there any thing better(and orky) that I could use the tank kit for, or should I just add it to my guard army as I originally intended?

After all these years of searching for Marbo...he found me. Heretics beware! He's back!

Well you could use it as scrap pieces for other Looted Vehicles in the future

Here are images of how mine looks. I got most of the pieces from the Bommer kit.

Question: Are you a Deathskull?

Yes: Looted wagon

No: Why not? Loot it anyway

Here's my looted wagon. Sponson weapons are the original heavy bolters filed down with big shootas glued on front. The Nob in the turret is a spare torso from a boyz frame

Cool pictures guys, very orky!

I was thinking of making it into a Looted Wagon, but I was wondering if there was a better Ork vehicle that I could turn the tank into, like maybe a Big Trakk, or something else that would make better use of the kit.

If not I'd just add it to my Imperial guard. Otherwise, Looted Wagon w/Killkannon, 3x Bigshootas, Ram.

Well, first off, using Ork as a verb calls up scary imagery.
Never say to you your family "I Orked a tank!".

For some ideas the rules for a looted wagon shows a nice picture:

This is pretty straight forward and looks great:

To be honest, it really is hard to go all that wrong.

Enjoy, it looks like it could be fun.

If you're looking to turn it into a better orc vehicle - from the sense of gameplay - than a looted wagon, just about any ork vehicle is on the table. Wagons are distressingly terrible.

That said, given that you're playing orcs.. It could be damn near anything. Slap a flat bed on it and you could call it a trukk / big trakk with few problems. Make it a bit longer (or don't, depends on if your local players are sticklers or not) and you could have yourself a battlewagon. Convert it up and use it as a grot mega tank / grot tank.

Really w/e you want goes, you're playing orks. So long as your local group / shop isn't filled with huge sticklers you can convert it to be damn near any ork vehicle and not get any flak. Just try to stay away from the Looted Wagons; they're the weakest vehicles in an already weak army.

Weapon swaps and turret swaps seem a good starting point. Spares from battle wagon, or even other tanks, help this.

Cutting and/or painting out some ork glyphs to stick on the vehicle help.

Maybe add a boss pole (makes transport harder though).

Extra barrels make great fuel / ammo tanks (use thick wire for fuel lines) .

The chaos vehicle sprue has a few brutal looking rams. and turret ring surrounds.

Paint job helps; lots of chipping, smoke damage from the exhausts and vents (the engine runs on squig droppings now!) oil/grease spills leaking from moving parts.
Add grot riggers.

I would either make up some counts-as IG to run as allies (diggas or grot guard!) and use it as its intended vehicle, or bash it up with another kit or two and make a really nice Battlewagon. Looted Tanks are kinda flimsy.
