Hi all I have always collected Salamanders for 40K and could not forego the Legion for 30K.

I have acquired a fair few things (mostly collector - no really many people to play with) but struggling with lists.
I have the Betrayal at Calth set, 5 Pyroclasts, 5 Firedrakes, a Deredeo, 6 Jetbikes, a 10 man squad of missile launchers (some of this was new, others second hand) I also got a 5 man standard mk3 squad (i just like the models - wanted to use them as infiltrators kind of thing)

I know that Jetbikes and Nocturne arent the best match but I wanted to reflect the remnants of the Legion as they left Isstvan and maybe found the remaining Salamanders across Macgrage and ofc Nocturne. So just 6 bikes wouldn't go massively anti fluff but its the army lists I get stuck with. Not sure if I drop pod everyone or slog up with Rhinos and the Spartan I want to get (Pyro get a ride on a rhino they take from another squad)

Any rough ideas? Any help would be great really

EVERYONE seems to go for a spartan (Oh noes! a tougher land raider to move your already 800+ point death star! what ever will we all do!), and unless you are gonna run said deathstar, I would either avoid it (since it costs a ton) or build a list around supporting it.

Deep striking is stopped by one of the two legion RoWs (https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Warhammer_40,000/Tactics/Space_Marine_Legion_List_%2830k%29#XVIII_Legion:_Salamanders) but really, these complaints are fairly asinine since you SHOULD be building what you think looks cool/ may play fun/is fluffy rather then worrying about what would be 'good' (99.9% of all units in 30k are good. some are Better, but there's very few useless units) What I would reccomend is picking 1 or 2 themes for your army: Flamer spam, transport troops, terminators, etc. etc. and building to be able to play one of those themes.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

I just didnt want to go all common lol. I thought of using the bikes and flame them up as one could potentially trade the bolters for flamers and i will magnetize just in case they actually run badly lolol Spartan is indeed very expensive although looks great the Caestus was the other alternative but again quite pricey. I can recycle my rhinos and preds from 40k to it and just remembered i have a deimos pattern pred laying around will try something i suppose but yes flames are flames
