So I wanted to point up a list using all the genestealer formations and special units. I did take the Deathleaper which I will be converting one of the Cultist patriarchs to have talons to use as the deathleaper. If anything it should be fun.

CAD
+ HQ +
Deathleaper

+Troops+
-Children of Cryptus
-Genestealer Brood x5

Formations:

=Broodlord's Hunting Pack
=Manufactorum Genestealers
=Manufactorum Genestealers
=Ghosar Quintus Broodkin

Total Units
Deathleaper
Spawn of Cryptus
Broodlord
70 dual rending genestealers
8 rending/talon children of cryptus
The 37 cultists (which is a mix of all sorts of tricks if you havent looked at them yet.)
118 models
1999 points

Might as well add in some Genestealer Cultists as well.

I'd drop a Manufactorum for more Obj Sec Stealers with more numbers. I don't like min-maxing when it comes to Stealers. I also like adding in some Broodlords into Manufactorum for Pinning opportunities. That's done me pretty well against the armies that can fall to pinning.

Yeah, I have the cultimate formation in there. That's the Broodkin formation.

I thought about doing some more regular OS over manufactorm as well. I haven't played genestealers since 3rd edition. I think the mass amounts of minimum squads is the big thing can take some overwatch and still get other units into combat.

Very seldom has OS been an issue but if I need to definitely just run them as part of the CAD instead of the Manufactorum.

Since they are the same points it doesn't really change things. I can turn them into my cad and make 5 squads of 6.

Correct me If I'm wrong, but doesn't everything in your army have the rule Infiltrate? With that being the case I would suggest you cool it with the Genestealers and put some more effort into the 'Cult' side of the Genestealer Cult.

Come the Apocalypse means you can't deploy within 12'' of each other, and if within 12 at any point on the roll of a 1 neither unit does anything. Quite a problem, except in your army not a single unit deploys in YOUR deployment zone leaving it entirely open.

I suggest you Drop 4 of your 6 man Genestealer squads to give you 336 points to play with. Then add an allied detachment of Imperial Guard (AKA Cult infected PDF troopers) consisting of a Lord Commissar, Vets with an Autocannon, 2 Wyvern Batteries and 2 Scout Sentinels. This comes to 335 points. It gives you some solid long range options which don't need to go anywhere near your Genestealer assault. It gives you some mid strength firepower to take down Skimmers that would usually be able to evade your stealer assault and the Wyverns give you a reliable option to whittle down units your MSU Stealers don't wanna fight at full strength.

Think about it, all of the Genestealers your running in the formations ate better then the CAD 'Stealers, so why take them without any bonuses. Fluffwise the 'Stealers wouldn't go all out rebellion without their Cult, a Cult you only have a few members of.

Just a fluffy suggestion of an option that isn't more 'Stealers.

You're army does not have to infiltrate. Also the Cult is battle brothers with tyranids(whether people want to argue the bad wording anyone I play with agrees). So they can deploy on the board or infiltrate some up to 1 inch from the enemy and assualt first turn.

If you take the cult formation the 3 characters are unique and there is no bound way to run more since they lack any other hqs. If you take them as a CAD you lose the best part of the formation and that is assaulting first turn.

Fluff wise they are a full fledged cult with tons of purestrains ready to go. The CAD stealers give me OS.

I think Alex means that since your current army can all be deployed 12" or more outside of your Deployment Zone, having some Come the Apocalypse allies (Guardsmen) would shore up the lack of firepower with no downside. The Guardsmen still are Imperial Guard for all rules purposes but you rename them 'Cultists' because that's your army's theme.

While I agree that Guard work thematically, and his unit choices are good, I disagree that CAD Stealers are worse than other Stealers. Genestealers won't table an opponent. That's just not going to happen, and in minimum squads they die to a slight wind. CAD Stealers can atleast hold an Objective when they charge in and a lone model might take or contest an Objective for precious turns in Assault.

Taking away too many CAD Stealers though might hurt, depending on your Meta. Frankly, those Guardsmen aren't going to play Objectives either. They're limited in their roles and you still won't be tabling anyone with them included, but it is definitely something to consider to boost your presence in the shooting phase.

Oh I may have misunderstood. The guard units may be something. For now it's just purely genestealers unless they do add some new formations or units. It's mostly for fun and I have tons of shooting armies.

Finding the hardest part is building all these guys.

One recommendation - if you're prepared to drop the Children of Cryptus (i.e. your CAD), you can instead take Deathleaper's Assassin Brood.

With lots of Broodlords throwing out The Horror in the manufactorum formations*, and two decent Telepaths in the Broodkin, those lictors providing a -1 Ld bubble via the Paranoia rule can be amazing.

* you can't add extra 'stealers. You CAN add broodlords!
