'Murica! (again)

The upcoming WD has a few gems for me personally. One is the exciting BL sequel Audio drama David Guymer wrote which he revealed in my interview with him a few weeks back on ep 135 Combat Phase podcast. Ogres equivalent from Destruction in part one Beast of Cartha. Next, seeing how Massive the Stardrake is. One battle pic has two, one is next to Archaon, that bouquet of bright chaotic flowers, and the drake comes up to the lowest chin on the Chimera's three heads. That's big. Which brings me to the final point, the price. No point in debating that but I'm loving the massive price difference in other countries. The price with preorder from my current store in Sweden is $50 less than the final price after tax I would pay in $US. Love the set GW currencies

We get a good deal conversion wise compared to the States in Canada, too.

The $85 USD starter boxes are $100 in Canada, which in our funny money is $76 USD. It was an even better deal a few weeks ago though.

Funny money, love it. So our friends in Australia should only pay, about... $24.400 I believe.

I have a meeting with my bank this morning to discuss the loan I'll need to buy one.

I'm digging the kit aswell, especially the size of the beast. I've never been super fond of the slender dragons in warhammer. This one is nice. Sadly I don't have a SE army and I don't really see myself start one. I just hope for a cool dragon for chaos now.

Looking at the existing pics, I'm almost certain the shoulder and chest plates can be left off. Maybe the wrist gubbins too. I think we'll need a look at the sprues to see if that's the case, and what's under them if it is, but I'm probably gonna buy one anyway, just to convert up an unarmoured version.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

I think there are two things to try with this model:

1- Wingless. It would look awesome as a giant lizard monster

2- Shave or file the angular lines on the front armor plate and eventually the front leg ones as well to achieve a smoother aspect.
