Kill team event at my LGS this Saturday, thought I would post up my list. Our group uses the GW rules with 2 major army list changes which will explain why the list is a bit unusual. First, 10 models maximum, it kind of hurts me as an IG but I think I have a solid list. Second, as long as the models are from Troops, elite, or fast attack you can pick and choose individual models using their individual cost, same for squad upgrades. It involves some calculations but nothing difficult. So Vets are 6 points each and the Tempestus Prime is 37 starting (85 for the command squad - 12x4 for each Tempestus Scion). Anyway, here;s the list:

Tempestus Prime
- Power Sword, Leader

Veteran
- Plasma gun, Grenadier and Forward Sentry doctrines, Guerrilla Specialist (Infiltrate)

Tempestus Scion
- Hot-shot volley gun, Weapon Specialist (Split Fire)

Tempestus Scion
- Hot-shot volley gun, Indomitable Specialist (Relentless)

Veteran
- Melta gun, Grenadier and Demolition Doctrine

5 Tempestus Scions
- Hot-shot lasguns

The plasma vet will infiltrate into some cover, if I can get some ruins he'll have a 3+ cover and range on the plasma gun should be enough so he won't need to move much. Relentless on the HSVG means it can fire 4 shots on the move. Split fire may seem like a weird choice but if he doesn't move I can put 2 shots on 2 different targets. The melta vet is there in case I run into an transports and the demo charge could cause some havoc. The Prime will be using the FRFSRF order for the most part on the 5 Scions with lasguns. Thoughts?

He's been ferried through hell on a ship that's ten thousand years old to some godforsaken, war-torn rock; He is one of ten million men snatched from his home to fight a war he barely understands; He wages war against devouring hiveminds, ravenous demons and hordes of hyper-advanced aliens with strange technologies and sorceries he never dreamed existed; no one will remember his sacrifice, there will be no records of his deeds, no glorious parades in his honor, and no remembrance of his name. All he will earn is a shallow, unmarked grave on a forgotten world untold lightyears from home.

Yet for all this thankless sacrifice a Guardsman is a man, just like you. He has no millennia-old genetic engineering, no prophetic leader, no miracles of faith. He has his lasgun, his orders, and those beside him. He is the Imperial Guard.

And he will hold the line.

Ive never played the GW KT rules. So Im not familiar with them, but for 10 models that is some great firepower. I feel like as guard you are at a serious disadvantage given a model limit. but at least every model will be ignoring armor saves.

Yeah that was the idea, wounding on 5s with the lasguns will be tough though. 10 models hurts guard more than most armies, but they wanted to keep this event on the small side. Last time almost half the players showed up with cultist/ guardsmen spam. Wasn't really kill team at that point
