**Decay**

Simple as really, yet another of my skint, money saving schemes for this game. Could 40k Kastelan robots be used in place of the FW Castelax robots? They look and are pretty similar, except for the head situation, which is the Painting and Modelling forum's problem. Any help once again?

I use Kastelan as Castellax
No one seems to mind, as they have similar loadouts

I did that myself. Looks quite good. And the shoulderweapons can be changed.
Technically, the Kastellans are the precursor to the Castellax.

I just use the FW models. The GW ones are way too cartoony, if you painted pupils they would look like something from "Cars".

Same here. I will admit I do love that tech priest that comes in the Kastelan box, but no way I would buy it just for that one guy. lol The Castellax are better in every way.

But I wouldn't mind someone useing the kastelans as castellax in 30k as long as they do their best to repersent/convert the war gear. Convert the wrist mounted Bolters/flamers on the fists for example. The phosphor blaster=Mauler Cannon if fine since their statlines are more or less the same gun if i recall. But if you wanted to switch it for a photon lance or Multimelta convert these to the best of your ability also.

If your putting effort and pride into the conversion then no one can realy complain.
