Sacrifice to the Dark Gods

Hi all,

My wife bought me a present and she bought me all items that I had in my giftlist on games-workshop website . I have alot of units and I wonder how to make a good list with the units that i have.
I always play vs space marines, tyranids or eldar. I have never played a game with daemons before. some help would be great.
So far I played Grey Knights/ Imperial knights/Space marines vs these army's and I havent been very successful :(

I have:
Fateweaver
Lord of change
Belakor
Daemon Prince
Changeling
Blue Scribes
The Masque
Herald of slaanesh
6x screamers
2x10 daemonettes
3x10 pink horrors
10x Plaguebearers
3x Plague drones
3x Nurglings
1x Herald of Nurgle

I know its a complete mix of all daemon gods but i should be able to make a decent list.

I am of the opinion that a mix of gods IS the way to make a decent list.

You have a good list of stuff to work with. Fateweaver, LoC & Belakor are some of the best HQ's. They support any Daemon army quite well, although they take a bit of experience to use to full effect.
For your troops, I would start with 2 units of Horrors and the Nurgling unit. Most use units of 11 horrors to get the extra Warp Charge, but since you have 30, I think the best way to split them is 11 & 16 min for each unit. the 11 gets 2 WC, the 16 gets 3 WC. Then you can put the remaining 3 into whichever unit you want. Plaguebearers also make good objective holders, but the Nurlglings are much better because they are cheaper and infiltrate.

The Daemonettes are great to be summoned, so no need to put them in the list. Same goes for the Drones if you roll the Incursion spell. Since you only have 6 Screamers, I think they are best as 2x 3 and use them as harassment/distraction units. Keep them near Belakor, cast Shrouding, then Jink with them. 2+ cover re-rolling 1s FTW!

So to start, I would run this list:
LoC with Paradox, ML3, 2x Greater rewards, 1x Lesser (Staff of change)-roll all Malefic, use paradox to guarantee summoning Deamonettes
Belakor OR Fateweaver (I don't recommend both until you are more familiar with Daemons)

11 (min) Horrors
16 (min) Horrors-----Take your pick of these to add the 3 remaining Horrors to (or not depending on points)
10 Plagubearers
3 Nurglings

2x 3 Screamers

Daemon Prince of Tzeentch with Impossibility robes, ML3, 2x Greater rewards, 1x Lesser (Staff of change)-roll all Malefic or Biomancy
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1250-1500pts
I would try that out before you bump up to 1850. You have so many HQ models that you may need to double the CAD, which is fine since you have enough Troops. Basically just add the Drones, Blue Scribes and Belakor or Fateweaver and you should be at 1850

Buy her flowers. Lots of them!
You are an extremely lucky man to have your wife not only encourage your hobby, but support it!

You can put together a cool CAD with it. It's not a 'tournament worthy' set of units, but it gives a lot of variety and is really cool. I like daemons for the same reason I like Eldar - lots of different colored units!

For your army, try different units out. Fateweaver is boss, and will help your army with support.
Daemonettes, if they get into assault are extremely dangerous. Horrors are mana batteries for your casters. Plaguebearers just go to ground on objectives are are a pain to shift. Screamers and Plague Drones are awesome.

You will just need to try a vareity of units to see what you like.

I would do two CADs. You can fit all your FMC in a 1850 list. I would try this sort of list.

CAD 1 Primary
Fateweaver - Warlord
Lord of Change - Impossible Robe, ML3, 2 Greater and One Lesser gift

Troops
11 Horrors with Icon
11 Horrors with Icon

Heavy Support
Tzeentch Daemon Prince - ML3, Wings, Armor, Paradox, One Greater one Lesser gift. Or you can take Grimiore instead of Paradox, but you then have extra points.

CAD 2
HQ
Be'Lakore

Troops
10 Plague Bearers
3 Nurglings

Fast Attack
Either 6 Screamers or 2x 3 Screamers.

Roll Malefic for Horrors and Lord of Change first. You want to get cursed earth for Lord of Change. For Daemon Prince and Lord of Change swap the lesser reward for the Staff of Change. Balekor will be followed by Screamers. Horrors will summon more things that you couldn't fit in your list.

This list gives you 17 Warp Charges. Several ways to get a couple 2++ or 2+ cover saves/jink and some Summoning. While you don't have a lot of extra Daemon units left over to summon, with Invis and hopefully cursed earth, you won't have a lot of dice left over.

That's just how I would try running your models.
