I'll be damned if I buy the fail cast flayed ones, just wondering what bits I should be looking for to use on some warriors for claws?

People usually use plasticard or something like that to make the Claw hands.
I'm not THAT good though. One idea could be chopping off most of the gun and turning it 90 degrees so that you could make lightsabers and glue the bayonet thing on the other arm?
Just something I'm toying with in my head, of course.

There's a lot of potential claw-hands parts in the Talos kit, but the easiest thing is to just cut a bunch of knife-shapes from plasticard.

Everyone talks about claws but I'd instead say saw off their hands and sharpen their "bones".
Think Butchers from the Dead Island series. Those gakholes were creepy as feth.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

I never liked the lore of the flayed ones, so I made a bunch of my own flayed ones and made up suitable fluff. Basically instead of being infected with space herpes they are destroyers that have the same insane bloodlust to eradicate all life from the planet, but prefer to get up close and personal. This is frowned upon by the Necron nobility so they go about welding weapons onto themselves adhoc. I grabbed whatever blade weapons and Canoptek (arms?) from the Necron inventory I could get my hands on and glued them onto the arms of destroyer sized units, and I made some warriors too (had spare bodies lying around) so I chucked on some hands from skitarii rusts stalkers (I think thats the model).
If you wanna see them all in detail check my gallery of them unpainted.

Has anybody tried taking a Nids Gaunt box and combining it with a Necron Warriors kit?

I was thinking along the lines of some dark eldar bits and blades. I have seen some conversions of where they just have sharpened forearms and while its neat I like the look of "Snip your face off with my hands"

Not a fan of your color scheme, but those Flayed Ones are the gak. Each one has its own flavor and are simply modeled well.
Excellent work!
