Hey all, I'm thinking of adding some Skitarii allies to my Imperial Guard. I recently decided to go completely Steel Legion for my Guard and either sell off all my Cadians or phase them out into my Chaos Renegades. Were there any AdMech forces fighting on Armageddon? Further, which Space Marine Chapters fought heavily on Armageddon? I know Ultramarines were probably there, but I dislike them. I'd like to throw a few squads of Marines in as allies for my Guard too, but I'd like it to be thematic.

Lots of admech. Just about everyone has had someone on Armageddon at some point.
Dante had overall command during the second war. The Ultra's even let him.
The Templars seem to be the biggest contingent during the third.
Maybe a small group of Celestial Lions hiding from the Inquisition.

Depends which colour you like to paint.

The only chapters to participate in the second Armageddon War were the Blood Angels, Ultramarines and Salamanders. The only Titan Legion present was Legio Metallica, what AdMech support assets they had I don't know.

The forces there are at the outset of the campaign and are taken from the list in Codex:Armageddon. According to EPIC:Armageddon the following chapters were also present later in the campaign: Subjugators, Immortal Hearts, Howling Griffons, Red Scorpions, Minotaurs, Widow Makers.
