This is my first real paint job with an airbrush. I have primed and base coated before but never really done a full paint job.

Pointers, tips, horrible insults - all will be appreciated.

Not sure if I like the color I chose to highlight the red. I also did the color kind of backwards with dark in the edges and light in the middle. It's the opposite from how I see the ones GW do.

Looks good to me, the highlights on the red are fine in my opinion. Not sure how I feel about the gold panel over the head though, it stands out somehow.
Of course, the one thing everyone's going to say is decals, decals, decals; pimp that thing out with some patterns and insignia on the armour plating. I don't know if you plan on adding any, or if you prefer the pristine look that's up to you, but I think leaving those sections blank makes it look more action-figure than miniature, but that's just my opinion.
I hope you'll post some pics of the back for us to see too

I forgot to say that I am designing some decals based on my own family heraldry. It has white so I will have to have someone like fallout print them for me, but eventually, yes, I will have some fancy shmancy decals.

Please post when you've finished that-would love to see it. And good that you were designing some, because I was thinking it looked a bit plain, especially as Imperial Knights are stooped in heraldry.

Nice paint job, just not a fan of the color combo though.
