So I am building a blood angel army (non competitive) which I want to be good enough for local games.

I wanna run 3 10 man assualt squads with jump packs. The question is how to build them.

So you put 2 meltas on each 10 man? Or plasmas on 1 unit?

How is a power axe and Melta bombs on the vet sgt sound?

I'd say it depends on what job you want them to do. And i'd stick to 5 men squads unless you really want to go for massed melee. 5 Assault marines with Meltaguns is fast, melty and damn cheap.

Tank hunting, go for Meltaguns and a Meltabomb.
Taking on TEQ/MEQ, go Plasmagun.

Also, may I say how bloody unfair it is that your assault marines get Meltaguns, but vanilla marines only get flamers ¬¬

I'd also no run the Sarg/Vet Sarg with any melee weapon that has the 'Unwieldy' special rule unless you intend to run the squad(s) with an Independent Character that has a melee weapon without the 'Unwieldy' special rule.

Instead of 3x10 is better 6x5, are still 30 marines but you can double special weapons and combi.

Plasma gun if you want to use them as a mid-range moving fire platform, obviously go melta for tank hunting, and flamer for punching.
I prefer for the plasma squad getting a Rhino instead of jumppacks.

Hey guys! Thanks so much for the advice! So if I wanna do the flesh tearers strike force you recommend I do 6 5 mans with 2 melta guns and melta bombs with no cc weapons on the sgt?

I was thinking of using a sang priest as an hq and a tacticals squad with a heavy flamer and a flamer in a rhino for the troop.
