Hello everyone!
Been a long time since I posted on Dakka. Was on a break of 40k. So, I have 4k points of CSM sitting on a shelf, all primed in grey.
Have we heard anything about any codex or any type of rules for CSM? I was expecting the CSM codex right after Tau, but I guess I was wrong.
Thank you

Sad Panda has suggested there's some Tzeentch in the pipeline, but not a new CSM codex.

I'm sorry PandaHero, we can only keep the faith that GW will update the weaker factions sometime...but no news with core CSM yet

Specifically, both Sad Panda & Lady Atia have said "new Thousand Sons models after summer".

Part II of the Warzone Fenris campaign will probably feature a token formation or two for CSM's, likely Tzeentch & Alpha Legion based as those are the mortal forces featuring in the campaign. Again, it's expected that this will release late summer/more likely fall. (I'd hazard a guess that it'll be October time myself...)

As for a re-booted codex & overhauled model line that Chaos Marines are desperately in need of? Sad Panda has adamantly hinted that "don't expect anything like that this year".
Reliable rumors are pegging 40k Chaos in general to likely be upcoming sometime early-middle of next year. (ie: May'ish, April if we're really lucky, June/July if we're not)

Will we actually get anything decent for once? Personally, I don't expect GW to give a flying rodent's fart about us... Chaos being the eternal punching bag for Little Timmy's Speeesh Mahreens is the best possible thing for GW's bottom line sadly. 'Bad Guys' after all aren't supposed to win in fiction, and the one time we did win, the Loyalist fanbase threw the mother of all temper tantrums at GW!

Honestly, after enduring 10+ years of watching GW gleefully strip everything away from Chaos Marines, only to give those Loyalist scum 10x better versions of nearly every last one of our unique units & toys, I look at any possible new Chaos release as such;
Expect the absolute worst to happen. Take some darkly humorous pleasure in joking about how GW could possibly nerf everything we have and make it even weaker than it currently is!

The logic behind this attitude being, if we set our expectations as low as humanly possible, we're not going suffer any great disappointment when inevitably our "new" codex is nothing more than copy/paste job of the current piece of crap we have.
However, if we do somehow manage to get even a semi-decent release, and a codex that at least brings us up to the likes of Grey Knights/Sisters/SW's/etc..., we'll be insanely overjoyed, even if we're only at best middle of the road and still get auto-trounced by the Big Boy armies.

I think the soonest I've heard for a CSM update is early 2017. I've heard rumors of Tzeentch Daemonkin possibly coming out this year. Maybe new models coming this year, but no update for the near future afaik.

Tzeentchkin has been debunked by every reliable rumor monger as nothing more than wishlisting/bad fiction.

Yup, no Tzeentchkin. The only "concrete" thing we have is that new Rubric Marines may be released in the last third of this year. Perhaps they will get new models and retain their current crappy rules. Perhaps they'll get new rules, but perhaps those new rules will be campaign-specific only. Who knows.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.

I expect the plastic rubrics to coincide with the release of a CSM decurion in Fenris part 2 that gives army wide Soul Blaze or some such garbage if you take 9 whole units of possessed or something. And then no new codex ever since that brings us "up to date".
