Hi everyone! At the end of this coming summer I will be moving to Ottawa from the other side of the country and I am interested in finding out more about the gaming crowd there. Who plays? Where? What games are most popular? That kind of thing.

Thanks!

At a Place, Making Dolls Great Again

Never rely on OC Transpo they are the worst.
Fandom 2 is my favourite place, 40k seems popular still and 9th age is starting to get a following I think.
Ottawa actually has a lot of gaming stores though I know a lot of them cut GW's stuff loose awhile ago.
Not sure about Warmahordes these days, haven't played a lot myself.
But I know it's there!

There's FDB on the Gatineau side plays lots of non-GW games, including Infinity and others. There's a GW store near Bayshore. Fandom 2 is a neat store. I haven't been there in awhile but it's where I used to get most of my Rifts books. Kessel's run is i think a board gaming place on the east end. There's a bunch of other card gaming places, which i think draws in the bigger crowds.

I'm in Ottawa now. Living downtown, just got settled, have yet to venture out to game stores. It appears a lot of them are a pretty long bus ride from the downtown core, and I've been hearing some not so great things about Fandom 2 (but still plan to check it out). I'd love to check out FDB eventually, are the bus systems between Ottawa and Gatineau connected and do most people speak English that play there?
