I am currently planning on using both kiss on Archon and Hex on Heamy. Was wondering if anyone has had so experance or thoughts on this.

The kiss isn't a bad thing to throw points at if you don't have anything else you absolutely need to take, but I don't think I've ever actually seen it restore a wound. Generally, my archons get killed rather than wounded. If they die in melee, it's usually to some character or MC with at least a strength 6 attack. If they die in shooting, it's usually because I had them tanking with a shadow field, and many of the shots headed his way are strength 6 or higher.

Also, because I like to use my archon to tank shots with a shadowfield, he becomes significantly less useful/important after he takes a wound. So while the Parasite's Kiss can be a nice way to restore a wound, it won't restore his ability to tank. Also, if an archon that has lost his shadow field is taking wounds from something, he's probably about to die regardless of how many wounds he has left. Once you start rolling 5+ armor saves, your time is limited.

Not a bad choice, but not amazing either.

I don't think I've ever actually used a hex rifle. I vaguely recall thinking it might have some utility against the right targets, but that it was unreliable at best even against ideal targets. I sort of kind of recall someone mentioning that they might work if you spammed wrack squads with them. The problem I see with them is that they're a meh shooty option that can only be taken by models that would probably prefer to be assaulting. If you take one, I feel like it will be more of an expensive chance at taking out an important model before you charge in than a reliable way to bolster your damage. I also feel like the liquifier gun (much a I frown at it recently-nerfed strength 3) fits the offensive approach that wracks want to take better than the hex rifle and has more defensive benefits as well.

What would you want to use it for on a haemonculus? As I aid, it seems like one of those options that are nice to have when they work but won't work often. Personally, I end up spending the points elsewhere whenever I look at hex rifles. :( Which is a shame. Their fluff is cool!

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

The Archon and Haemy will be in a raider with Wracks. The thought was that the Haemy coud off a nasty model before the wracks charge. The kiss is just to take with the agnizor to save points and figured a wound back[user] might be nice every once in a while. The haemy also has an agnizor for cc.

Honestly I wouldn't spend that many points on close combat weapons for your HQ choices. Dark Eldar don't really have HQ choices that become amazing CC units by throwing points at them. So really, give them each 1 or two items to make them useful or to just help prevent slay the warlord, and then use the other points for more units. How many more Reaver bikes could you get for the cost of all the HQ upgrades you have?

I think just a hex rifle on the haemy is good, and then give the archon the shadow field and maybe a basic cc weapon.

If you're spending points on an Archon, you might as well go all in. Parasites Kiss isn't used much because Armour of Misery is better, -2 leadership makes sweeping some units in combat (Necrons, im looking at you!) a much more manageable task.

Hex Rifle is upsetting, it used to be so much cooler. I would suggest not taking it and taking a Scissor hands instead. If your taking the Coven supplement Syrdri's sump is also a good pick up.

The basic point is if you wanted a cheap HQ you wouldn't take an Archon in the first place, You'd take an 11 point Lhmaemen as your HQ choice. If your spending points on a Dark Eldar character it's because you want them to do a job, the least you can do it kit them up for it.

Currently I have the Archon modled with the agnizor and a blast pistol... I was thinking of buying a new one. I have not started the haemy yet.. I like the scissor hand so I have some food for thought.
