Hello all, I need some help with a scenario,

The background for the scenario is shown below if you're interested:

The Scouring of Drapus III
The lonesome, icy planet of Drapus III, once a bastion of imperial might, has been infested with chaos vermin. Chaplain Baracius of the Divine Exorcists space marines has arrived on the planet to deal with the threat.
Unbeknown to him, the chaos threat consists of two warring factions: the Khorne-worshipping berzerkers of Krev Grazl and the Tzeentch followers from the planet Plufestea. These two factions are at loggerheads over the possession of a mysterious artefact that was lost during Abaddon’s reign over the Eye of Terror. Why the followers of such disparate gods should both want the artefact is anyone’s guess…
Meanwhile, an inquisitorial force led by Lord Mercurius has secretly landed on the planet after reports of this artefact and its warp-derived powers had reached the ears of the inquisitor. Mercurius will attempt to recover the artefact and uncover its secrets in order to further deal with the ongoing creep of chaos insurgency. Should he fail, the planet will be razed from orbit, no matter whom should be on its surface…


In the final battle of this mini tournament, I have a rule whereby the artefact that the armies are fighting over randomly activates at some point during the battle.
Bearing in mind that the armies will be 500-750pts (I haven't decided yet), what could the artefact do? It could make the game more difficult somehow, or give whomever is near it a bonus of some kind.
Any ideas? Go on, go mad!

Have it turn into something that attacks the nearest unit! Be creative make it a custom daemon, or even make it a carnifex!

Or you could have it murder whatever is closest and have the waring factions spend the rest of the game trying to avoid the relic or risk getting obliterated!

1: Artifact emits a gravitational pull - All units on the field move 6 inches towards the artifact. Superheavies are not affected.

2: Artifact skews perception of time - All Units may move an additional 6 inches for that game turn.

3: Artifact floods the map with psychic power - Roll 3D6 for Warp charges in psychic phases that game turn. Suffer Perils on all doubles.

4: Artifact teleports - Follow deepstrike rules to decide where the artifact reappears, however on a direct hit roll until you scatter. Use 3D6.

5: Artifact selects a Champion - Unit that is closest to the Artifact may CHOOSE to receive Daemon special rule (or if already a Daemon +1 to their Invul save) OR deny the Chaos-tainted artifact and receive Zealot instead.

6: Nothing happens - Until you roll a 2nd 6, then a Str D large blast template is centered on the artifact.

The Forgeworld HH book 4 (Conquest) has a campaign system and in one of the missions there are rules for utilizing the artifact that are quite good!
