I have been toying around with daemons a lot since the new update with wolves. This is a list Ive been having a blast with.

Formations

Warpflame host
Herald- ML 3, loci of conjuration
Exalted Flamer - 6 units
Pink Horrors - 3 units of 11, icon and instrument

Soul grinder formation
Soul Gringer - 2 nurgle grinder with phlegm
Soul Grinder - Tzeentch grinder with baleful torrent

Heralds roll on new tzeentch table, horrors roll on malefic, lord of change rolls on divination.

Realized today I probably should have specified more. I put 2 flamers per squad, and split the Heralds aswell, the squads with the Heralds are puting put spells at +2s, that makes Flicker fire s7 with potential for 4d6 shots, aswell in the shooting phase the squads have 2 s6 ap3 torrent flame templates or 2d3 s10 shots coming out of the squads flamers.

I've ran a similar list with great results. I took 5 squads of horrors and 4 flamers, but it's close to the same thing. Since the flamers are all 'heavy' weapons, have you had problems getting them into range? You are also less 'psychic heavy' in your army, making the need to for more horror squads to act as batteries less of an issue.

Why are you taking the grimoire on the LoC? Have you considered just taking 'the impossible robe' and going for 'cursed earth' or making him the warlord -- since you can take him out of the demonic incursion tree. Just for the record, you should do that anyway, so he can benefit from all the befits of the demonic incursion. The tzeentch tree is boss - giving you a chance to have a 2++ all the time. With the robe, if you get cursed earth you are also rocking a 2++, as well as 'Warp Storm Table" results of a 10.

If you can spare 10 points for the 'staff of change' on your LoC, you can boost his STR by 2. Just in case you want to glide it down to beat face late in the game.
