I was hoping to pick your brains as to what would be a fun, competitive and not too much horde Renegades kill team.
Obviously using a platoon is a minimum of 30 troopers (27 if you include weapons teams) which I think most kill team players would be a bit unhappy about facing due to the number of targets. I would accept a single minimum platoon of you guys think it would be generally accepted though.

So here is what we have to choose from:

Elites
Disciples - probably the best choice but their strength comes in minimum squads due to the cost of adding more people, and only one elite is permitted in kill team.
Marauders - Also a good choice with some interesting options (brutes come to mind)
Ogryn - The least competitive choice we have, put to shame by brutes

Troops
Mutant Rabble - Cheap, could be used to top off the points
Veterans - Worse disciples but at least can take two squads
Platoon - Possibily not really in the spirit of kill team even with minimum models, but would be very competitive.

Fast Attack
Sentinels - Probably overpowered... Three for the price of one Ogryn? Are squadrons allowed in kill team?
Salamander Scout Tank - Interesting option to add a bit more armour

So help me out guys? What would be a fun Kill Team composition? I am happy to go Slaanesh, Nurgle, Tzeentch or Khorne with devotions also.

Is this the wrong forum for kill team list ideas or should I have put in tactics or does no one play kill team with renegades?

People play kill team! the problem is that the player-base is rather small, and you're talking about an army that relies upon knowledge of a IA based army...
-by regular guard codex platoon minimum is 22. (heavy weapon squads in a PCS and 2 ISs?
