Hey guys, I'm a long time lurker, longer time Dark Angels fan and I just decided to join the community.
I always loved painting but never played much, but now I got a friend into the hobby so hopefully things will change I just came back to 40k after a long hiatus (most of my minis are from 3rd edition or even older), and I can't wait to be up and running for some games!

Hello Crowbar90, welcome to the Dakka!

I plan on returning to 40K in a few years when they update the Necron codex and I have time and funds to pay for one (GW drains my funds). Curious if the friend you invited plays CSM, because then you both could buy the Dark Vengeance Starter Box as a refresher to 7th edition. Would love to see some pictures of your minis from 3rd. Happy wargaming!

Well, I tried to make him like Chaos but I didn't succeed! He started collecting some minis in 5th or 6th, can't remember exactly now, he really loved SW. Now he's jumping back in but he's in love with Skitarii, so he'll probably buy the Start Collecting! box and try to build a pretty basic (and maybe well-rounded) Skitarii army for our first games, then he's going to take some SW or Cult Mechanicus as allies.

I'll try to take some pics of my 3rd edition models, hope I can find some painted quite well!
