While not always the most popular choice among GK players, I'm a bit of an outsider having 20 of them. However, the longer I see them on the shelf and the table, the less enamored I am with their "take me to your leader" look with the backpacks. Given the army was and still is the Daemon Hunters, I want to give them a kind of angelic look, like the daemon hunting angels from fantasy settings like Magic: the Gathering. For this I'll be changing up the poses for some of them, overhauling their basing, and most importantly, adding wings in lieu of their current special backpacks. For the wings, I have a few candidates:

Stormcast Prosecutors: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Prosecutors-with-Celestial-Hammers

Blood Angel Sanguinary Gaurd: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Sanguinary-Guard

Dark Eldar Scourges: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Dark-Eldar-Scourges

Each of them present their own problems. The Sanguinary Guard are meant to be attatched with the jump pack, but aren't very dynamic. The Prosecutors have a kind of steam punk look to their wings, which i both like and dislike, not to mention price, where as the Scourges only have 3 sets of the feathered wings per kit, and even then they seem a little more daemonic and a little less angelic.

So, I'm looking for advice on what wings I might go with, whether they're from the candidates I'm already considering, or from a kit (or company) I've overlooked.

do they have to be GW parts? Reaper does do a set of wings (cheaper) or you could cut up some of their angel models (the BONES line) for some variation, and even cheaper =)

I would go with the Sanguinary Guard. The Prosecutors are HUGE (the body is terminator sized, so you can imagine how big the actual wings are) so it might not work as PAGKs, while the Scourges are Dark Eldar, which run into the opposite problem of being essentially twigs next to the other power armored units in your army.

The Sang Guard are the best because the kit itself comes with a bunch of Angelic Swords and Axes (the axes can function as halberds) and also come with a version of wrist-mounted bolters as well. Basically all you really need to do is do a head swap and they'd be perfect. Since they're also a Space Marine base, you can maybe swap out the legs for something else and use GK arms to give them a more dynamic look (if you lack legs you may be able to trade with someone).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
