So the new update for the supplement is out and I'm told the great waaagh detachment is no longer in the book. Does this mean i cannot use that detachment even though i have the old book?
I was hoping there would be some kind of loophole due to the "use the version you want" thing that was the response to the new space wolves iron priest double rule set.
Battlescribe still lists it as a valid detachment as well as the 'orkurion' stuff. I'm really hoping i can because i need that fearless boss pole relic on a biker boss so my blob doesn't run off the board turn 1 vs tau

Just ask your opponent if they are okay with you using that detachment. If it is for an event, ask the TO. Personally, for the events I run. It is still a valid detachment because the it was not reprinted and nothing from GW that says we can't use it any more.

I'm pretty sure you can bring ghaz relics in a cad. Nothin says you cant, you just can't have ork codex relics in the same cad.

You can't take Waaagh! Ghazghkull relics in a CAD, you can only take them in a detachment or formation from the supplement (page 52 of the updated version or page 48 of the old book). With the update we can now take one W!G relic and one Codex relic on each eligible IC, as a little bonus.

The W!G relics are only available if you use a detachment from the supplement, so unless you're doing that you can only use the Codex relics. A CAD is not in the supplement, so if you use one you're stuck with being able to take just one Gift of Gork and Mork per character, and only one of each relic in your army.

Then how can we bring ork codex relics in cads? I don't have my book on me, will check it later.

The permission to take one codex relic aka Gifts of Gork and Mork is given to the Warboss and Big Mek in their unit entry. Permission to take Ghaz supplement relics aka Orkimedes' Kustom Gubbinz is granted to any units that can normally take codex relics as long as that unit has been selected from a Ghaz supplement detachment.

So I can't use the great waaagh detachment anymore? none of the waaagh band formations are points efficient for bikers. i actually didn't mind the tankbustas tax.

You'd have to ask your opponents first and in friendly games it would probably be okay (it's not exactly OP), tournaments probably wouldn't allow it but that's just a guess. As the book's been updated and it's been omitted this time around its better to assume you can't use it until you get permission from an opponent. Personally I never used that detachment anyway and won't start trying to now, I've only ever used the W!G relics with Dread Mob or the old, now defunct Greentide.
