As the title says, I need a new desk lamp and I'm stumped for choice. That said, I do have a few provisos:

1. The Lamp must be clamp on, or at very least I can affix it to a vertical surface - ie. not freestanding.
2. Must be a large bayonet (B22) fitting bulb - So I can put in some larger LED daylight bulbs.
3. Ideally it should have a flexible neck.

So, if anybody (preferably from the UK) can point me towards something similar - fire away! I've trawled eBay and Amazon and I'm really stuck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ott Lights are available in the UK. I would seriously consider looking into their line of lamps. They really do what they say they do. Picked one up a couple of months ago. Wow, world of difference. I'm doing less touch ups these days, because I can see where the tip of the brush is. The wattages look low, but they throw out a lot of light. Mine's rated at 13 or 14 watts, and it throws a ton of bright, reasonably glare free light right where I want it. They make everything from desk models to floor lamps.

I've now bought 2 Ikea http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40370283/ lamps and put daylight LED bulbs in them and they are amazing. Cheap, adjustable, all metal.
I have an ott light as well from way back but I find it gives off too much heat after long sessions.

Many thanks people - I'll definitely look into those. I'm planning a new work-desk so I thought I may as well put in some proper lighting while I'm on with it.

Ive been looking for a similar clamp on one myself and following advice from here found this https://homelamps.co.uk/shop/ottlite-13w-flexible-clip-on-lamp/

Was just wondering what the difference would be to that and standard shaped lamp with an led daylight bulb in

I think the only thing that puts me off those designs (I've seen a few of those in other places) is that you can't replace the bulbs as easily. I was looking for the standard large bayonet (B22) bulb as I know I can get a variety of daylight bulbs for them.

That's fair enough, though I seem to be finding a fair few places selling the replacements for that lamp. I guess for me I don't know enough about the variety of bulbs available and would happily stick to the one type that came with it.
