Insane detail is about 4/0 and utterly useless. Unless you're using a ton of drying retarder the paint will dry on the point before you get to do much of anything with it.

Yeah, I have an insane detail brush, it is useful for dotting eyes, but you have to be so fast - I tend not to use it at all.

I'd stay away from their brushes. I have the Character and Detail brushes. I can't make them work for me. All mush, no spring, and crappy points. You get what you pay for. I do like the triangular profile of the handles, but the business end leaves much to be desired.

Wish I had of stayed away tbh.
But I'd already purchased them and well during my first painting session with them the ends are split.
Now I was lead to believe that these brushes are sable and the ends shouldnt split , especially during their first application of paint.
I didnt get no paint up in the trussle part is it called ? Either.
disappointed ! Going to soldier on with them as im new to painting then buy some winsor and newton.
