Good evening,

Does anybody have a current line of getting these in bulk? I see a lot of threads around the topic but they're old. I am having a surprisingly hard time finding them, and many of those that I do find dont show pictures of the bottom of the base so I am not confident that they dont have the cross support.

I am looking for bases like these:

I will be putting washers in the base for weight and potentially doing some magnetization, not sure about that yet.

Appreciate any help anybody has,

Thanks.

You can get them in packs of 100 from GW directly.

Aliexpress is also a good way to get cheap bases.

Jim, those appear to have the cross support piece I need to avoid (so I can put washers in the base).

Hans, I saw the ones from GW but it didnt indicate whether they were open or not. Do you know for sure?

Thanks!

I use a mix of types and just carve out the bars if I need to glue a weight in.

The GW ones have never had anything on the underside afaik.
The only switched the injection point around over the years (now on top like in your picture).

GW slotted bases are a seperate product and will be labled as such.

GW used to have a semi slotted base, where you could basically cut the slot out yourself. That would be what they are referring to when they talk about the cross structure underneath.

I just got a bunch from GW. They're open. I know what you're talking about regarding the unslotted bases with the supports on the underside, I have a bunch of them sitting around. They can still be weighted, but you need to get a little creative to do so.

Is there any reason you're being a donkey-cave, or is it just an off day?

To OP: Honestly, you're best bet may be to just get whatever bases you can, and if they have the bar cut them out with your clippers + hobby knife.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Why do those bases have dimples in the middle? I noticed a lot of the bases in my DV set have those dimples, and they're really annoying!

Injection mold point, instead of the old ones that had 4 bases connected by sprue.

I sometimes use nickels under my bases, as they fit perfectly, and make light plastic models stay down on slopes.
