So, I've got an upcoming tourney and for the first time, another friend of mine might be coming down to participate. It's cool and all, but here's the problem; he plays Grey Knights. I play Daemonkin focusing on daemons. So, how does this daemonic force handle this anti-daemon army? Or if we face off should I just hide his models when he's not looking?

Can you tell us what units you have or will likely be fielding? Do you know what he has or will likely be fielding?

I'm a GK player, so I can offer some guesses at what he's likely to do with his units, but I need to know what's on the table.

I think he's bringing Paladins, a Librarian, and Draigo. As for me, I'm bringing daemons. Bloodletters, bloodcrushers, flesh hounds, Skull cannons and a Daemon Prince.

You need to bring hundreds of disspossible infantry because his force weapons are going to K/O your daemon prince easily. You know what that means... BLOODLETTERS! Grey knights are all about small numbers that can rape any big daemons you bring. Yes he can bring scary gatlers and flamers but it is nothing that you wouldn't face off against in any other army.

Are you set on taking KDK? Because I would suggest taking the daemonic incursion detachment and maxxing out the murderhost as well as taking the crimson crown and the loci that gives you rage. (Take some furies so you can get the benefits of the detachment: +1/-1 to warp storm, re-roll instability) Against a Grey Knights army you will of course lose lots of models but once you get in combat: each bloodletter has 5 Str5 Ap3 attacks, so in a full murderhost (8x10 man units) you have 400 Str5 Ap3 attacks on the charge. Even GK will wet themselves.

You won't have much control over the Psychic Phase, but I'd recommend picking one unit that you're in combat with and putting all your Dispel Dice into attempting to stop Force. All those multi-wound models are just begging to be Insta-Death'd by all those Nemesis Weapons (Bloodcrushers... :().

Do you have the Chaos Demon codex? If you're going pure Demons you may want to consider running it from CD rather than KDK. The Blood Tithe table and Fearless are good, but so are the Demonic Reward Tables in Chaos Demon. 10pt Axes of Khorne are a very good thing, especially because KDK doesn't even let you buy them for Heralds :\. Plus the new Hellforged Artefacts and Warlord Trait tables from Curse of the Wulfen.

All things considered I might just go with daemons. Again, this is just one person in a tourney who I may not even go up against, so who knows? But thanks for the advice everyone, appreciate it greatly
