Models look pretty sweet and the price seems quite decent as well. Feeling tempted.

This is how you do it, Jervis.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.

What kind of options are there for Valkyr Bikers in the new Warpath rules?

Are these going to be cast in that gak-awful resin Ramshackle always uses?

Oh, come on! I only have three bikers (old GW ones) in my Squat army and this temptation is just a low blow. I'm so over KS but this is proving I clearly have no willpower ,
Plus...they have the old school look and match my army. Garh! Ok, ok, I'm in. Thanks for posting this KS, though someone owes my wallet an apology eventually

Almost certainly they'llbe using their usual stuff. The price point's so low that I'm willing to accept the compromise here, though. Put down a pledge for 5 bikes and another 4 quid to get that rather nifty battle mage as well.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

What's the problem with Ramshackle's resin?

By the way, I wonder if they've ever considered making any 6mm stuff, I can really imagine some awesome Ork vehicles!

And now... I can begin my Squat army.

H.B.M.C.- The end hath come! From now on armies will only consist of Astorath, Land Speeder Storms and Soul Grinders!
War Kitten- Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...
koooaei- Emperor: I envy your nipplehorns. <Magnus goes red. Permanently>
Neronoxx- If our Dreadnought doesn't have sick scuplted abs, we riot.
Frazzled- I don't generally call anyone by a term other than "sir" "maam" "youn g lady" "young man" or " HEY bag!"
Ruin- It's official, we've ran out of things to talk about on Dakka. Close the site. We're done.
mrhappyface- "They're more what you'd call guidlines than actual rules" - Captain Roboute Barbosa
Steve steveson- To be clear, I'd sell you all out for a bottle of scotch and a mid priced hooker.

Other than smelling like cat piss, it's very brittle and prone to horrendous air bubbles. Pieces flake and chip from basic handling. I've spoken to Curtis a few times and he's pretty honest about the fact that he uses crap resin to keep prices down. I keep hoping he'll review that policy as I'd like to buy some of his stuff but I just refuse to own any more of that specific formula of resin.

Agreed. There are a lot of things that Ramshackle makes that I would like to have, including these bikers, but the resin quality is just too poor for me.

Just the thing for my Squats!
Just Pledged for these at the "10 bikers +2 upgrades" level. By dropping one of the two mounted weapon platforms for the 2 track bikes (each is one upgrade) and scratchbuilding one my self instead, I can take an additional biker (there are 11 different bikes). 11 bikers for $49 shipped is pretty darn great.

I agree that the resin is fairly cheap and fine edges can be fragile. However, I've had no problem with the stuff I've purchased previously. I'm definitely willing to accept the cheaper resin for the price point especially with a unit like this that is going to have a pretty "worn" look.

I wouldn't look to Ramshackle for something smooth and shiny like a Space Marine, but for post-apoc and Squat stuff with a "worn" aesthetic, it's a great and affordable option.

That's the rub. Ramshackle does have a few entries that are smooth enough for use with power armored armies without looking.. well.. ramshackle. I bought 3 of those spider drone things and they look really good even alongside some more professional looking kits. There are other ways to get resin costs down. If he bought more expensive resin and used filler beads for example. Also, it wouldn't hurt if some things either weren't massively oversized or at least had cavities. I have a small selection of slightly larger things and they are solid blocks of resin.

If people have never had the airbubbles cause cracks after building, pieces snapping off, flaking resin, etc.. hey.. more power to you. I just think people who don't know what to expect need to understand what they're getting into as this material is worse than restic.
