Dakka! I will be doing a 4,000 point KDK VS Imperium (IK, IG, and SoB). It's primarily a for fun game since my opponent is bringing 5 Knight Wardens. Yes, 5. I have beaten him before using purely Vanilla CSM, and wanted to see if I could beat him with KDK. Here's my list.
KDK CAD 1: 1860PTS
HQ
Lord, Power Armor, Combi-Melta, Korlath Axe, Melta bombs

1x 3x Terminators Combi-Melta, P, Land Raider (Lord will go here)

2x 8x Bloodletters, Instrument

2x 3x Bikers, 2x Meltagun, Combi-Melta
1x Heldrake, Hades Autocannon
Heavy Support
2x Forgefiend, Hades Autocannons, Ectoplasma Cannon
1x Mauelrfiend, Magma Cutters
KDK CAD 2: 1054 PTS

War Engine: Soul Grinder, Phlegm (Ok, this is technically nota real formation, but since we're playing for fun my opponent said he didn't care)

Ok, so here's my tactics. This has worked decently in the past against him:
We're doing Dawn of War: Purge the Alien. We usually play in ruins, so I stick my Helfist Murderpack in some sort of cover for a 4+. I give them the Lascannons so I can use their formation's ability to shoot twice, and keep them parked in cover. I usually run the bikers towards the sides of the Knights, and try to deploy the Terminators directly behind the Knights. I can usually down at the very least 1 on turn 2, and 2-3 on turn 3 with sheer volume of Str 8 and 9 fire. Then the melee ensues. I usually keep the Maulerfiends near the Helbrutes and charge him in the turn after the Knights charge the Brutes. The Soul Grinders deep strike in (hopefully off the Bloodletter's Instrument) and wreck his Sisters and Conscripts. If need be they can pile into the melee. The Skull Cannons start on each end of the deployment and law down pie-plates wherever needed. Heldrake causes more multi-angle havoc on the Knights. The Land Raider full of Terminators and the Lord will drive up one of the far sides and take shots at the Knights until they get into CC. Then, I unload the contents on a squad of Sisters.
I think that pretty much sums up my list and what I do with it. What are your thoughts? What would you do differently?
Edit 1: Have 2 Maulerfiends, not 1 and Phlegm on Soul Grinders.
Edit 2: Cultists have Autoguns, not Autopistols and forgot the Melta Bombs on Lord. Updated points.

Forgefiends with their autocannons are surprisingly good at stripping points from knights. I don't know if Kor'lath is a good choice in this format - the summoned Bloodthirster will only have S6 weapons against a front AV 13, right?

Yeah I love the Fiends. The Korlath is more for terrorizing his SoB and IG Conscripts. I usually send the Land Raider up the side of the board and into his backfield. Dump off the Terminators and Lord to wipe out his tac squads. It's mostly for a scare tactic.

For some reason I thought Maulerfiends were I4. This changes my stance on them going against the knights drastically. I may take them out for something else.
